  1. The story is great, the character development is great, but the gameplay elements can get a little repetitive. MMBN3 is also the most difficult of the Network games.

Complex, but fun. [July 2003, p.147]

Almost everything about MMBN3 is so similar to previous games in the series, it's hard to tell that you're playing a new game. [May 2003, p.60]

If you're not a Mega Maniac, there's no point in bothering with this game. [June 2003, p.96]

If you’ve already played the first two games, there’s not much point in playing this one.

II have played ALOT of games in my day, but Battle Network 3 is, and will likely forever remain, my favorite handheld game of all time. I cannot count the amount of times I have replayed this 20+ hour game from start to finish. The main story is fantastic and there is tons of other things to do as well. The fantastic hybrid real-time/ strategy battle system draws you in and the story keeps you there. Full Review »

With a rich storyline, lots to discover, and many new innovational systems such as the Navi Customizer, this installment of the BN series certainly didn't wear out the series' welcome. The only downside in my opinion is that you can only keep one style and cannot trade them, whereas in BN2 both of those things were possible. Instead we are granted with the ability to trade navicust programs. Overall, this is a great game. I would be writing this review on the blue version, but for some reason it's not on Metacritic. The Blue version is slightly superior due to extra content such as the Mr. Famous battle and Bowlman.EXE in favor of Mistman.EXE. Full Review »
