  1. This is one rare time when a sequel is better than the original.
  2. The sequel improves on its predecessor in many departments, and it’s just plain fun to live in the net world.
  3. It’s addictive and much more varied than the original...The combination of the RPG aspects and the real-time/turn-based battle system is the main draw for this unique game.

The sequel shines even brighter. [June 2002, p.150]
  7. This remolding of the classic action hero was a big departure from the traditional action the series was built on, and stood as a highly enjoyable, solid, and creative game worth getting into.

I agree with Gabriel A., if you don't buy it at least rent it.It has great graphics (considering it's GBA) and the gameplay is awesome.

The story is gripping in the way it makes you want to not put it down, there's lots of areas to explore and the combat is still fun as ever. I really love the dialogue in these games, and the way it changes with what is currently happening. It's fun to find all the different places you can jack Mega Man into, hanging with the cool cast of characters. It genuinely is fun and makes you laugh through out. The graphics are awesome considering the era this dropped (GBA) Lan is a pretty kick *** little eleven year old. Man saves the universe from peril constantly in ways the adults can't even do. Expand

Everything about it just blew me away from the graphics to the vast ammount of secrets to discover...When I got Battle Network 2 I was blown away for a second time because while the menus seemed a bit dated, it had something the other games lacked. While quality dialogue and character development are lacking, this is aimed at a younger audience that doesn't really look for that stuff. I pretty much spent the better part of a year and a half perfecting this game and I completed it 100%. I was 13, and now I'm 19 and still playing it on an emulator, reliving every glorious moment. It shows how good a game is when it's just as fun as you remember it all those years ago! Expand

There was allot of backtracking and the game felt generally allot more padded out than it needed to be. The Gospel organization was wild though. Blowing up a dam, crashing a plane, WWW could never.
