Nintendo PowerIt's a great, bouncy ride. [Nov 2001, p.148]
-
Somewhat typical of arcade-style console games, though the graphical elements are quite good.
-
Its not a terrible game, but everything about it, from the gameplay on down, has been done a great deal more effectively in a slew of other GBA games with considerably more gameplay muscle.
-
The graphics are cartoony and charming and I like the looks of the various enemies. It would have been nice if the environments had been a bit more interactive.
-
It's the role-model for mediocre action games.
-
A challenge to get through...but the frustration level is absolutely massive.
-
Kao the Kangaroo is one such Sonic/Mario wannabe that is hampered by poor game mechanics and unoriginality.
-
Not entirely unlike Nintendo's Super Mario World, except that it's significantly more dull and frustrating.
