A game that will be loved by the fans, and tolerated by everyone else.
-
A fun beat-'em-up that captures the innocent charm of the show's martial artist namesake.
-
Any fighting game has progressively harder enemies, but the bad guys in this game beat you as much with their intelligence as they do with their attacks.
-
The martial arts moves are well rendered, the storyline is passable and the animation is very nice.
-
Nintendo PowerSuperb graphics, smooth animation, exotic levels. [Dec 2001, p.170]
-
The game could have been a tad longer and used more of the cartoon characters. This game will take an average gamer about five hours to beat and probably a bit more with some replay value.
-
The game's downfall is its lack of variety.
-
Pocket GamesAs sharp-looking as it is entertaining... Has enough innovation to merit trying. [Spring 2002, p.40]
-
It's a game for Chan fans: everyone else would do better with "Final Fight One."
-
It does provide a short bit of fun, but that quickly ends as the repetition sinks in its claws.
-
It does an admirable job of re-creating the cartoon license; infusing it with enjoyable, if repetitive beat-'em-up action.
