If you're looking for some classic shooter action on your new GBA, Iridion 3D will fit the bill nicely without blowing you away.
-
Lacks originality but does manage to entertain.
-
Simplicity is normally a virtue on a handheld, but I'd say this game is too simple.
-
Meets my expectations in many areas, but it completely fails when it comes to lastability.
-
If you're looking for a GBA game to show off the system's graphical capabilities, you can't do much better than Iridion 3D. You just may not want to play the actual game.
-
After the initial "wow" wears off, you'll be stuck with an empty experience.
-
Pretty pictures and an amazing soundtrack does not make a great game, and where this game falls apart is in its redundant and flat gameplay -- it's just not exciting to play.
-
Not only was I throughly dissappointed by Iridion, but I was downright frustrated.
-
The only problem with Iridion 3D is that while it looks a million dollars, its gameplay isn't worth a rusty dime.
-
One of the more graphically impressive GBA launch titles. From the 3D menus to the in-game 3D environments, Iridion does drop jaws with its impressive graphics. Unfortunately, the rest of the game takes away from this sense of euphoria.
-
If special effects trump all the complaints in this review, well, go ahead and enjoy, just keep the receipt around for when the novelty starts to fade.
-
The game is made artificially difficult and despite how short the levels are (looping enemies nonetheless) you may never see the ending simply because the gameplay is that dull.
-
Besides proving it's possible to depict a fast-paced, three-dimensional environment on the GBA, Iridion 3D is yet another reminder of what gamers everywhere already knew: eye candy is no substitute for meaningful gameplay.
-
It lacks just about everything that a quality game needs in this day and age. While the absence of a story may not impact your experience, the shoddy controls and bland attack system will leave you craving for something more.
-
Looks great, but just try to aim and move at the same time. We'd rather play Galaga from "Namco Museum."

Oct 21, 2021There isn't enough depth to make a game like Iridion 3D worth playing, however for being such an early release it's forgivable.
