AceGamezA good port of a great game and even though it's very easy on the hardest settings there is still enough here to keep players occupied for a while, especially on those long road trips or just while sitting on the toilet.
-
It looks decent, sounds OK, and plays almost as well as any other good fighter on the GBA.
-
I think the key to the success of this game is that it brings a great look and story that ports very nicely to the Game Boy Advance.
-
This will definitely fit the bill when you need your free-roaming Guilt trip, but there are better GBA fighting games on the market.
-
Electronic Gaming MonthlyLike any fighting game, though, it's only as good as its replay value, and GGX's is a little better than average. [August 2002, p.136]
-
Play MagazineThe characters are surprisingly well animated and detailed, but the backgrounds are sadly flat, devoid of any line scrolling or parallax. [June 2002, p.68]
-
GameNowWe're talking Forrest Gump-simple, people. [August 2002, p.54]
-
Pocket GamesIf the fighters were any smaller and harder to see against the dark backgrounds, this game would require night vision goggles and a microscope. [Winter 2002, p.38]
