Pocket GamesA good melding of old Frogger gameplay with newer platform sensibilities. Might be too frustrating for some. [Spring 2004, p.41]
-
Taken as a whole, this game offers fun, engrossing gameplay in the action levels, but getting from one level to the next is a hassle because of the added story mode.
-
I liked this game for maybe an hour. Then the game started to become repetitive and boring. There were some good reminiscent parts and some really drab parts.
-
Might make a decent rental or budget purchase for the kids, but most of us will have more fun digging out the original arcade classic and playing those challenging levels without all the clumsy improvements.
-
Taking a classic game that was built on the meticulous design of a single area, and trying to expand it into something much more than what it needs to be is a crime upon the integrity of the original.
-
Takes a turn for the worse by adding too much nonsense and dumbing-down the classic Frogger gameplay. The level designs don't add any new ideas to what's already been done for the series.
