Wonderfully stylish.
-
There are some noticeable flaws in the every department. For instance, in arcade mode there's one hard fighter and all the rest are fairly easy – I would have enjoyed more balance.
-
The game desperately needs its own identity and doesn't quite achieve the same consistency as the more established fighting game franchises.
-
Nintendo PowerCasual fighting game fans may find the aciton to be slow. [Feb 2003, p.161]
-
The lacking controls and questionable hit detection kills off much the technical aspects of the fighting.
-
The characters and locations are extremely generic and the gameplay isn't much more than a slower-paced version of Street Fighter-meets-Samurai Shodown.
-
Looks and plays like it's ten years old.
-
The environments are full of life.
-
The characters are not only woefully generic, but poorly drawn and animated.
