It won't win any awards for ingenuity, but it certainly won't cheat you out of your money either.
-
A simply designed racing game that is very user friendly and easy to jump right into, but one that doesn't offer much depth of gameplay.
-
A surprisingly decent game. But thats what it is: decent. Its not magnificent on any account, but its not horrible. It just fails to utilize any of its franchises qualities.

Pocket GamesThis racer needs more speed and extra helpings of Disney style. [Fall 2003, p.44]
-
Nintendo PowerThe difficulty level is high, even in the beginning races. [June 2003, p.140]

True, the original 15 year old "Excitebike" design just screams to get the GBA update, but Konami's try just comes off extremely disappointing.
-
If you're a Disney fan, you'll be disappointed by the lack of any real Disney-ness to the game. Other than the grainy images of Mickey and crew, you get no sense of the characters' personalities, voices, or quirks. If you're a racing fan, the game's dreadful camera takes away any potential for high-speed fun and action.

Cheat Code CentralYou can throw in all the famous characters you want but if the gameplay isn't there you don't have a game worth playing.
