A pathetic attempt to port the amazing Zoo Tycoon 2 to Nintendo DS. Only a few animals, horrible graphics, and a rocky designing scheme lead to the demise, while the overall game has nothing to it. The zookeeper mode has you playing 4-8 second attempts at minigames to take care of the animals. You cannot explore the exhibits, or your zoo. DO NOT BUY!

It doesn't even have anything to do with zoo tycoon 2. The animals are incredibly few and everything about making the zoo is ridiculously limited. Poor in every way.

For gamers that have somehow not developed an opinion on the genre, or for that new generation of young gamers-to-be, Zoo Tycoon 2 is a simple, decently paced title that still has a good amount of hands on interactivity.

Nevertheless, the title is a good choice for zoo enthusiasts and as a first step for players new to Tycoon sims. [Mar 2008, p.88]
  3. For the most part though, this game is all about gradually building up parks by yourself in the free play mode and relaxing with your creations. If that sounds fun to you, then you'll dig Zoo Tycoon 2 DS.
