    All in all Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's World Championship 2011 Over the Nexus is a pretty cool Yu-Gi-Oh! game with some new features like new cards or a modified battle-screen and good online-features. On the other side, the difficulty level is higher than in the older games, and the warm-up phase is pretty hard for beginners.

    As Konami moves into the future and likely migrates this series to the new 3DS, the developers would do well to find a way to simplify and streamline all of this convolution. Otherwise, almost literally, it'll come crashing down like a house of cards.

    For the most part, this game is identical to its prequel, Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's World Championship 2010: Reverse of Arcadia but with some new cardsFor the most part, this game is identical to its prequel, Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's World Championship 2010: Reverse of Arcadia but with some new cards added into this version and new Wifi features such as the ability to play Turbo Duels and Tag Turbo Duels online, the ability to download player made Duel Puzzles and Wifi Tournaments which where missing in the two prequels.

    The story mode is shorter than it's prequel but it is notably harder to make up for it. Just like before, newcomers might be scared off by the sharp learning curve and difficulty spike but new to this version are more advanced tutorials, deck building tips and even a Deck Analyzer that will attempt to state the strengths and weaknesses of your deck and will give it an overall ranking.to help aid people who are new to the card game or are older players trying to catch up with new changes to the game. One problem I have with the game that really bugs me is that AI routines for computer opponents usually take forever to make up their minds and make a move due to being programmed to try and consider all options available to them within their current situation and this can make battles with AI opponents far longer than they need to be. The game shines at its best are multiplayer battles over both Wireless and Wifi with new modes and features than the prequel.    … Expand

There is a huge amount of cards and more than certain TAg force games. The story looks like World championsip 2010. You come from nowere, you have usual frirends with a calm atmosphere when suddenly your passion for yugioh cards will take your future in hand, you will meet the Enforcers ( again) and save the world with a children's card game. In overall ill be honest, I finished it twice, one without cheats and one with with Action replay codes, as I did for World Championship 2010. The difficulty is indeed higer than its predecessor but the campaing is way shorter. That is why it will take more time for some players to finish this one than WC 2010. I had fun plying for the first time in my life to a real yugioh video game with my Herald deck and never lost with it ! ^^.

    I give this game a 82 %, If you are a yugioh fan, buy it but if you are not, think about it before choosing this game, its hard for begginners.    … Expand

There are plenty of fun game modes and a great collection of cards to choose from. If you're looking for a Yugioh game to keep you busy for long periods of time, then this is the game for you. The only flaw about the game is that the enemy computer often takes too long to decide which cards to play. This can lead to frustration and confusion during some of the more intense duels. However, for those who are willing to tolerate the slow AI, Yugioh 5D's WC 2011 is a very rewarding experience.… Expand

Its one saving graze is that it has more cards than the 2010 version (obviously) but apart from that, it has less features! This game offers the bare minimum! They have removed features that were present in 2010. Why? Why is there is no Tournament mode? Why is there no View mode (allowing for self-made tournaments)? Why does the key card randomly deselect itself? Even the story feels half-assed and ends without any sort of climax. The 2010 game had the guts to end the Dark Signer arc before it had been revealed in the anime. This game's story arc starts out great with focus on the Crash Town anime arc, but then moves into the real Yliaster arc... only it never mentions Yliaster! You have ONE FIGHT with the bosses, and then they acknowledge defeat and go home, giving us NOTHING of their original plan from the anime, indeed they have no plan at all in this game. There is no excitement. There are no impressive extra features. The game offers LESS than its predecessors and that's unforgivable. It has more cards, and that is it, but that is what we should expect! more cards is the bare minimum. The game is worth playing, because the 2010 version was worth playing, but it this 2011 version has no innovations of its own. it feels unfinished, and it does not give the 5D's era the ending it deserves.… Expand
