Official Nintendo Magazine UKThe control system and mission structure makes it unfairly annoying at times. [Mar 2009, p.88]
-
Tornado is fun for a bit, but once they start burying their great initial concept in a morass of extra moves and stupid levels (like a level where a giant bad tornado is bumping you around while the clock keeps on running), it loses its joy.
-
Nintendo GamerA neat idea, completely upended by the punishing difficulty. [Apr 2009, p.71]
-
Nintendo PowerA strict time limit also detracts from what's otherwise a fun game. [Nov 2008, p.104]
-
Essentially a sub-Katamari game on Nintendo DS, Ignition's title offers a decent (if short) campaign for players, though the Bonus Mode is more compelling.
-
Overall, Tornado is a good game marred by some intentional annoyances. It's a wonder why the developer chose to include them in the first place. Rent this one first.
-
If a little more time was spent in development ironing out these kinks, then Tornado could have been a solid form of competition for Katamari Damacy.
-
Games Master UKWay too frustrating to control and lacks any sort of gameplay polish. [Mar 2009, p.82]
