This game is no where near as bad as people say it is. It isn't bad, it just isn't very good.
It tries to be its own thing, and it does that well, but as a spyro game, it isn't the best. It's easy to level up your fire breath very quickly and melt everyone easily, and as soon as you get the second breath, the special is WAY to overpowered! But this was the first spyro game I ever played,

Poor draw distance, muddy textures, jerky controls, lofi sound there is very little to like about this game. The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night feels like a poor man's Year of the Dragon and is best avoided.

This game is a lifetime experience because it's so bad, it's entertaining, play it, it's worth it just to see how bad it is kkkkkkkkkkkkk

Mediocre 3D platformer with a simplistic puzzle game unhappily bolted on, as if the developers knew there wasn't enough to it. Mario 64 does something similar and does it much, much better.

But the game still feels like a step backwards: clumsy storytelling, awkward gameplay, wonky camera, and awful boss battles.
  2. The platform levels are fairly interesting to play through, but they’re not enough to carry the entire game. The combat in the levels is boring, and the boss battles confusing.
  3. The Eternal Night tries its best to capture the classic Spyro recipe, but is let down by poor design, an unfair camera and infuriating difficulty spikes.
