It takes a while to shift into high gear, but once it does, Star Wars: Lethal Alliance offers an enjoyable mix of shooting, puzzle-solving, and platforming.
-
Nintendo PowerThe battles are fun, but not very significant in the overall Star Wars universe. [Feb. 2007, p.96]
-
There are several good ideas in Lethal Alliances; it's just a shame they get buried under poor gameplay design choices.
-
While not the most challenging game, Lethal Alliance hits its mark in appealing to the widest possible range of Star Wars gamers new and old.
-
Lack of customizability, blah story and predictable AI make for something of a dull single player campaign, but what's there for multiplayer is solid. Fans of Star Trek will undoubtedly find things to like about this game, but fans of space sims might give it a cold reception.
-
The annoying camera, easy to solve puzzles, and not exploiting the droid enough really knocked down the score here.
-
Unlike the PlayStation Portable version which manages to be entertaining despite its flaws, Star Wars: Lethal Alliance on Nintendo DS is as laughable as it is frustrating.
-
Another victim of the quickie DS action blues. The star isn't very likeable, it's not much fun to play, and it's as ugly as a Jack-o-Lantern on January 9th.
-
The security mini-games are inscrutable, due to poor instructions and confusing interfaces.
