My daughter loves Princess Debut, and what's not to like? What girl in her right mind wouldn't want to be sucked into a swirling vortex in her closet and forced to dance just so that she can "find a man"?? On second thought, don't answer that.
-
Nintendo GamerPart dating sim, part rhythm-action dancing game, Princess Debut is perfectly pitched at its girly audience. [Dec 2008, p.81]
-
The game has a lot of replay value in the form of trying to woo a different boy each time -- that, and collecting all of the magical accessories that grant Sabrina different stylish dresses to wear while dancing.
-
At a glance, Princess Debut is a very easy rhythm game paired with a Story mode centered on the chasing and charming of princes. But if you choose to live in the fairy tale, its unique take on the music/rhythm genre, vibrant visuals, and lightly melodramatic storylines prove enchanting in their own right.
-
The dancing mechanics are unique and fun, but the progression is very slow.
-
It's not very deep or complex, but then again, I don't think that it's supposed to be. Taken for what it is, Princess Debut is a great first entry into a style of game I'd love to see more of
