Mar 27, 2011If you need a good Pokémon adventure to fill in the time away from Pokémon Black and Pokémon White, this fits the bill nicely.
-
Dec 22, 2010Pokémon Ranger: Tracks of Light is an excellent alternative to the main series, and will probably make up for the wait until Black & White arrives. Pretty, well paced, Tracks of Light is a nice adventure, perfect for children, far from the cheap spin-off.
-
Dec 14, 2010All in all, Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs is an enjoyable game set in a fun and colourful universe!
-
Dec 14, 2010Another fun way to catch 'em all. With some gameplay changes this is a fine way to spend your time before Black and White are released.
-
Jan 7, 2011This Pokémon Ranger follows the path of previous iterations, improving some details and adding up elements which enhance player experience.
-
Oct 21, 2010It appeals to your kids, and will probably be quite a bit of fun for them. They'll get to see their favorite Pokemon, and be able to run around in an enjoyable world for a bit. However, as an adult, you probably won't have much fun beyond seeing your kids enjoy their time with it.
-
Jan 31, 2011It's got the plot of Pokemon, but the battle system needs bolstering to achieve greatness.
-
Jan 5, 2011The third installment in the Pokémon Ranger saga does not appear as the revolution we hoped.
-
Jan 3, 2011Another Pokémon game and probably a new commercial success, with an interesting storyline, but limited by an undeveloped gameplay.
-
Dec 22, 2010Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs is not a bad game which brings along some neat features, still it's way too similar to the prequels, especially Shadows of Almia, both visually and gameplay wise. This new installment is recommended to anyone who never played Pokémon Ranger before and, of course, to any Pokémon fan who might want to add some rare monster to his own collection.
-
Dec 22, 2010Guardian Signs is not a deep game at all. The core gameplay mechanics are shallow, the story is largely forgettable, and the difficulty level leaves much to be desired.

Oct 21, 2010If you're looking for an interesting Pokemon adventure and don't mind drawing circles over and over for 16+ hours, you might want to try Pokemon Ranger: Guardian Signs. On the flip side, if you've played the previous versions and hated them, there isn't much here that will change your mind.
-
Nintendo PowerOct 21, 2010Shakes things up in some interesting ways, mainly through its diverse array of mission locales. [Nov 2010, p.89]
-
Oct 21, 2010Overall, Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs is an enjoyable game in its own right, but feels like a step down from Shadows of Almia.
-
Oct 28, 2010If you've played a Pokémon Ranger adventure before, just beware that Guardian Signs isn't much of a departure from the last two titles in the series.
-
Oct 21, 2010If you're a child or are buying for your kid, they should enjoy the experience (though they will be expected to do a lot of reading). However, if you're an older Pokémon fan such as myself, don't expect an evolved gameplay format from what was seen in the original two Ranger games.
-
Jan 10, 2011All in all, it's a decent game it just doesn't offer anything spectacular.
-
Dec 22, 2010But, hey. It's cutesy, its cuddly, and for the young or true blue Pokémon fanatics it won't be a regrettable purchase.
-
Oct 24, 2010If you can't wait to get your hands on the next installment of the gotta-catch-'em-all franchise, Pokemon Ranger: Guardian Signs might just be the right kind of diversion, though you might want to get that wrist brace handy for drawing circles on the touchscreen.
-
Jan 12, 2011A decent Pokemon game with cute graphics, but way too easy and with sluggish controls.
-
Jan 2, 2011Pokemon Ranger: Guardian Signs is solid, competent, and not without charm, but repetitive mechanics and a lack of depth render it a game best suited to younger or more inexperienced gamers looking for an easy entry to the franchise.
-
Oct 21, 2010The bottom line though is that Guardian Signs is a great game for small children, but is too simplistic for the rest of us.
-
Oct 21, 2010If you've played a Pokemon Ranger adventure before, just be aware that Guardian Signs isn't much of a departure from the last two titles in the series.
-
Jan 6, 2011A simplified version of the usual Pokemon games, though it is so simplistic that it quickly gets boring. There's not enough variety, and while it's certainly charming, it's hard not to see Guardian Signs as anything else but an introduction to the Pokemon universe for those who have yet to play any other game in the series.
