Jun 30, 2023My first ever Pokemon game.
Even though playing this was so long ago, I still remember a lot from it. -
May 24, 2023This game was very fun i played it alot with platinum and soulsilver. I wish modern pokemon games were as great as the ds era
-
Apr 28, 2023It's better to play this masterpiece than the trash violet and scarlet. And if you want comp just play showdown.
-
Mar 6, 2023An amazing game that has great replay value. Definitely extremely nostalgic as well!

Nov 30, 2022Another banger pokemon game. I had diamond, pearl, and platinum so I played through this bad boy 3 times straight as a kid.
-
Nov 7, 2022El paso adelante que necesitaba la saga en todos los sentidos. La conexión con la 3a generación si insertabas ambos cartuchos era un sueño hecho realidad.
-
Nov 21, 2021this was a great pokemon game for it's time. if you're reading this in 2021, don't buy the remake, it's just this game but with better graphics. the didn't improve anything.

Mar 25, 2021Pokémon diamond was probably the best Pokémon game I’ve ever played spent countless hours on this game way back with my friends.what I really liked about this game was the story team galactic was my favorite villain throughout the whole story and the elite four kicked my ass many times including the champion
-
Mar 7, 2021a good pokemon game for gen four to eight
pros
the underground
new pokemon
pokemon that aged well
best iconic legendary duo
good plot
decent gameplay
great gym leaders
amazing npcs
good villain team
best player guy, that being lucas
cons
the cynthia boss fight was way too hard for a pokemon game
even for those who beat her -
Feb 21, 2021Another childhood nostalgia. Best game after SS&HG for the Nintendo DS systems.
-
Feb 13, 2021Sinnoh region was a pleasant surprise!! Fourth generation is the last perfect generation IMO. Epic legendaries such as Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Darkrai, Azelf, Uxie and Mesprit... sympathetic gym leaders and elite four, nice region, lovely starters such as Turtwig, Chimchar and Piplup!

................................................... -
Apr 16, 2020This gen (gen 4), in my opinion, was the best pokemon evolution gen ever. Diamond and pearl are perfect. It sustains the classicness of pokemon gameplays while still managing and integrating visual effects. Sinnoh is calming and mental healing as ever. Love

Jun 26, 2019Story: 8, Gameplay: 8.5, Graphics: 8.5. The first Pokemon game i've ever played, the jump to DS make this series forever changed.
-
May 21, 2019Pokemon Diamond was my Pokemon game of choice when growing up, so I have so many memories in this game.
-
Nov 2, 2018Introducing tons of new Pokemon and ideas, Gamefreak proved yet again that they are one of the most consistent and reliable developers out there period.
-
Feb 19, 2018Pokemon diamond is a great game. The graphics are great (even if it was behind its time) and theres lots of awesome Pokemon to collect! On top of that, Voice Chat and Online features!

Jan 1, 2018While suffering from some balance issues, Pokemon Diamond and Pearl manage to beat every gen before it, with stunning visuals, improved pixel animations, and awesome new pokemon
-
Oct 30, 2017Un gran juego y una gran generación. La cuarta generación es la más difícil de todas, tenes que subir mucho de nivel para poder pelear contra líderes y el Alto mando.
-
Sep 28, 2017It offers much for a 2007 video game and it may not hit it as well as its predecessors, but still brings a delightedly made game for all fans of the Pokemon Franchise to enjoy!

Nov 24, 2016Although the graphics aren't exactly 4K, this game doesn't disappoint and is a great first Pokemon game to play. With so many Pokemon there's always something to collect, meaning hours of gameplay, including battles and storyline.

Mar 30, 2015Die beste Edition , die je erfunden wurde ! Unschlagbarer Soundtrack , schwere Kämpfe , epische Gegner und episches Gameplay . Jeder liebt es und Ausnahmen bestätigen die Regel ;)
-
Nov 5, 2013Although it was a great game that utilized the DS's capabilities, it still could have been a better game. I felt disconnected to the pokemon in this game and the region it placed me in. Other then feeling dissociated from the world I was playing in, it was a solid pokemon game that gave me many hours of game play.
-
Oct 6, 2013I have changed my opinion of this game it is really good from the great music to the epic battles this is a great Pokemon game to get!!!! platinum is better!!

Jul 23, 2013"Pokemon Diamond Version" has a massive adventure, with great visuals and new adventures for the Pokemon lovers to love. With its villainous team, Team Galactic, on its core, the adventure is dark and exhilarating for the game players. Like all Pokemon games, the game is fun, exciting, and the Sinnoh Region is one of the most interesting places ever imagined for a DS game.
-
May 25, 2012Pokemon has continued to dominate handheld gaming since its debut and this is no exception.

Mar 10, 2012The game was really engaging and pleasan. The only reason I didn't rate it higher is that it doesn't bring anything fresh to Pokemon franchise. On the other hand, it's another excellent Pokemon adventure with well-designed legendary Pokemon, some nice places and characteristic climate. If you're true PokeFan, you cannot miss it. If it were possible, I would rate it 8.5.
-
Mar 6, 2012A nice transition from the Gameboy to the DS. Even after logging over 350 hours on this game I haven't collected all of the Pokemon. The Global Trade System is pretty neat as well. Overall a well done game, though I can't say the same about the sequels.
-
Nov 16, 2011"Pokemon Diamond Version" is the old, simple gameboy game we all love, only back in DS :) Enjoy!!!!
-
Jul 29, 2011Pokemon Diamond was probably the best boost of the Pokemon franchise. This game showed realistic images of towns. There were a few melodramatic, real life scenes. There were many new, more detailed Pokemon. Overall, Pokemon Diamond was one of the biggest contributions to Pokemon game improvements.
-
Jul 10, 2011This is an improvement that the series needed, new Pokemon, new stuff to do, the online multiplayer. Pokemon is moving to a right direction, can't wait for Black and White.

-
MartinLOct 23, 2009People say I started the Reformation because I opposed the Catholic church's sales of indulgences. Nonsense, I posted my 95 theses because Pokémon was underrepresented in the church. Come on, it's not Satanic!

WilliamT.Sep 23, 2008Not only the best Pokemon game yet but possibly the best use of the touch screen in the DS library. There is nothing in this game that is poorly done. Forget the kiddie assumption, anyone serious about playing good games would find this a worthy purchase.

MattC.Aug 6, 2007Very similar to the original but why fix what's not broken? The gameplay still remains excellent, with a large world to explore and hundreds of pokemon to catch!

-
DeannaH.Jul 29, 2007The games are basically the same, but I like this one because it has better graphics and different pokemon. This game is awesome!

RyanJul 17, 2007Old fashioned pokemon goodness with online play added on. Loads of fun.

-
AdamF.Jul 10, 2007I'm rather alarmed that diamond currently has an 8.4 user vote on metacritic when pearl has a 9.3 on the same site. this 10 is to balance the scales. Diamond and pearl are really the same game, and the're both completely awsome.

-
WillJul 9, 2007It's an awesome game, but not particular original. It works well with the DS, but I sometimes feel that it could do with a little more refining. For example, if a menu appears on the bottom screen I expect to be able to touch which option I want, but this doesn't always work.

BenH.Jun 29, 2007Great game, cool pokemon, great graphics, but ive got one vice with it. You can only put on your seeking list in the GTS pokemon that you have seen Otherwise, an awesome game

-
NoahW.Jun 3, 2007Fun game like all pokemon games but many new pokemon are unoriginal and are stupid but definetly worth getting because you can get pokemon from all other games.

-
MiriamA.May 20, 2007Great game! Brings back a lot of memories. While game play stays the same, new items and the new Pokemon add to its appeal.

KevinR.Apr 23, 2007It's not anything new to those of us who have been playing since the days of Blue and Red, but it still is one of the most enjoyable, surprisingly deep experiences out there.

-
AlexS.Apr 23, 2007This game is different than the others and takes a while to get used to but it is very fun. the new Pokemon are cool and interesting. the game uses the touch screen a lot but is still good. I just got it yesterday so this review is only on the begging my highest level is 19.

There’s a lot to do in Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl, which looks as good as a top-down Pokemon game is going to get for some time. It also benefits more than any other sequel in the series from a predecessor due to online capabilities. [JPN Import]
