If you've yet to play Nintendogs, this new version is another ace reason to get involved. [Aug 2006, p.81]

The interaction with the virtual dog is done extremely well on the Nintendo DS, and even if you pride yourself in your masculinity it's hard to resist these adorable critters romping around on the handheld.
  3. What Nintendogs does, it does very well. It’s a brilliant design that’s instantly appealing, and it truly can’t be done on any platform but the Nintendo DS.
  4. Dalmatian and Friends is still a charming, endearing game, though it's also essentially the same game that was released in previous versions.

The "game" itself is entirely unchanged, with the same old firsbee competititions, agility and obedience trials. [Aug 2006, p.66]
  6. If you don't have the nurturing gene or the attention span to keep a virtual animal alive, steer clear - but if you're looking for something that's totally nonviolent and uses all your DS's whistles and bells, Nintendogs is it.
  7. It's sad to have to say that, since we still think Nintendogs is an amazing achievement and a great game - it's just not a great game for very long. In other words, if you're a grown-up, if there are limits to your patience and your time, and if you want a game that's not just for Christmas, it's probably not a good idea to pick Nintendogs.

Though this game has more problems than it just being boring, for example, this game has not option as far as i know to delete your save. The graphics, while impressive for the Nintendo DS, are not nice to look at. And getting dogs to obey to an name is incredibly annoying as the game will sometimes not register what you say correctly. I know a lot of people who enjoy this game, but i just can't get into it. Full Review »

I just lost this game somewhere and made me cry. I wonder how my Chili (my golden retriever) is coping with no food and no bath. I just can stand it.
