I do have quite a good vocabulary and this did help me to improve it but after I unlocked all of the games, it did start to get very boring. Also, the music is dreadful and extremely annoying. However, for the purposes of being an educational game, it scores a seven and is quite fun when you start playing for the first time.

Barely OK: games have 'off' feeling, challenges frustrating, letter recognition chancy sometimes, and worst of all, my rating went to 40% (University Graduate) after a couple of days, but my vocabulary had only changed slightly. I have a poor vocabulary, but this will work to improve it. It is a fun game to.

Not terribly fun or educational, and gets old quickly. I was hoping for more context-based use of the vocabulary, but of the mini-games I've unlocked so far, it seems that you are expected to learn vocabulary based on 1 short definition for each word. Sometimes I found it hard to think of a way that I could use a new word in a sentence, based on the definition. If it includedNot terribly fun or educational, and gets old quickly. 1. The game is easily accessible to players with all different vocabulary ability levels, but it won't have any qualms about showing you just how much you need to improve.
  2. This is a classic case of a good idea with lackluster execution, making My Word Coach the kind of game that I'd like to see followed up with an expanded and improved sequel.

We can't see what anyone will gain from this that they couldn't gain tenfold from a good novel and a dictionary. [Feb 2008, p.71]
