If you have a child who is trying to get into video games or likes pets, it's a great buy. They'll have fun, they'll learn some basics about gaming and you won't have to feel embarassed to see it in their collection.

This is a fun game for girls and one that will keep their attention for awhile, with the amount of things to do. However, it’s really designed for young girls, not for older ones. At the same time, the interface may be a bit tricky for very young players. Parents will need to help the youngest navigate the game in the beginning. A good choice for families with young children.

My Pet Shop can certainly surprise you, as it did me, and while it isn't going to be a triple-A quality title, it's still worth a shot.

Do I believe eight year girls would like this game? Yes I do, until they get bored of doing the same thing one hundred and fifty six times.

I wouldn't recommend it but if it just looks so crazy awesome that you didn't believe anything I just said at least buy it on sale or rent it.
