Excellent gameplay, challenge and visuals. Voice work and story are the only low marks.

-
While it’s certainly not for everyone, Mega Man ZX Advent offers some of the best 2D shooter action in years.
-
While the Mega Man series have seen some high points and low points over the last twenty years, Mega Man ZX Advent hits the bullseye. You can't go wrong by purchasing this well crafted title.

-
It's a game that feels like Mega Man X with an environment more akin to a handheld Castlevania title. There's nothing wrong with that. Add in two playable characters, a load of optional collectables, and a great environment, and you got yourself a rock solid game.
-
The complete package looks and feels polished - the simple 2D graphics are colorful and manage to cram tiny details into the DS screen, while the controls are as tight as you would expect from a Mega Man game. After all these years, its amazing the formula hasn't strayed too far from the original.
-
Advent is clearly a step backwards in this regard and this only serves to prolong the stagnating circumstances that the series is currently in. That said, the game is still as much of a blast as the first one was with more forms to assimilate, plenty of crazy boss fights (those who complete Expert Mode deserve much respect), better production values, and an overall smoother ride.
-
Throwing in some quality animated scenes and voice acting, on top of two interlocking campaign modes and some fun mini games for two players, makes this one of the better games in the long running franchise.
-
AceGamezMega Man ZX Advent is a great Mega Man game that inspires memories of former glory while hinting at the possibility of a bright future both for a character that most gamers holds dear and a sweet little system that is more than capable of handling whatever the developers throw at it.
-
Overall, Mega Man ZX Advent reinvents the wheel in a way, but it still spins just as well as it ever has.
-
It fixes the main problem with the original ZX, throws in some other major improvements besides, and keeps everything that almost made ZX a classic to begin with.
-
The game features a ton of solid gameplay with enough improvements over the original to take note of.
-
Mega Man ZX Advent walks a thin line between challenging and infuriatingly difficult, while bringing along a number of new tricks and improvements for the journey.
-
A revolution in gaming it's not, but it fits comfortably into its fan-oriented niche&and it plays well in the process.
-
Even with a few notable annoyances, ZX Advent is a fun and addictive action game with plenty of clever level designs and fun abilities.
-
Mega Man and retro aficionados should apply for ZX Advent.
-
Maxi Consolas (Portugal)Following the steps of old GBA games of the same franchise, it doesn’t offer anything new. But it still manages to be addictive for player who like old fashion games, with a nice 2D and a difficulty level that can lead who to throw your DS against a wall. [March 2008]
-
Mega Man ZX Advent tries to outdo the last game in the series, and in doing so actually ends up as a less satisfying experience.
-
ZX Advent delivers a solid 2D platformer that is difficult to find elsewhere, forcing a players to rely pretty heavily on their skill to see them through. Mega Man fans will have their desire sated.
-
The old school difficult may turn a lot of gamers off, but the gameplay is solid and the power/appearance assimilation is fun.
-
Advent is a solid entry in one of gaming's longest running franchises, but it doesn't do anything to bring the series to a new generation of gamers.
-
ZX Advent packs an ample challenge that will chase away many of those groomed on easier 2D action games like the recent Castlevanias.
-
There's no denying, however, that the platforming feels a little tired and the constant blibbering of the characters is rather trite.
