At first, I thought the control scheme was inept and not fully tested. However, after a few full games and some practice in the homerun derby, the stylus batting has really grown on me. As far as pitching and fielding are concerned, I recommend put the stylus in the silo and using the buttons and d-pad. Changing pitchers is also a breeze, and is necessary when your hurler tires. The graphics, though not stellar, get the job done. The lower screen shows the more detailed pitcher vs. batter dual, while the upper screen displays the diamond. The audio is passable, with all the basic sounds of the game from the slap of the ball hitting the glove to the crack of the bat as the ball sails into the cheering crowd. Though Major league 2k7 is far from perfect, after a few games in, it all seemed to come together, providing a fun outing for DS owning fans of the ol' ball game. Besides, it's $19.99 price tag is peanuts for a new release these days. Play ball! Expand

  1. On the Nintendo DS, Major League Baseball 2K7 is a cruddy-looking, vague approximation of baseball that lacks basic features every sports game should have.

This game is better than Wiffle Ball DS, but it's not much of a step up. Skyworks has embarrassed themselves less with this game than that atrocity. However this is a major league game and as such, 2K games should have put a more able development team behind it.
  3. MLB 2K7 is not worth your time and this is definitely one game to avoid.
