Madden NFL 07 for the DS offers a ton of features, touch screen support and wireless play to make it a solid portable football experience. However the frustrating AI, learning curve when using the touch screen and blocky 3D graphics slows the game down.
-
The graphics won't win any awards but despite the small screens, the game still gives a decent sense of size and scope when you're playing. Players are blocky but the game uses bright colours and easy-to-navigate menus (the same of which can't be said about the home console versions).
-
Aside from the horrid kicking issues (that will have people returning their games, assuming it’s a faulty copy), the rest of the package is actually pretty strong. There are a ton of modes and options, lots of multiplayer, and the overall graphical and audio presentation has received a bit of a bump as well.
-
Playing Madden NFL 07 on the Nintendo DS is akin to coaching a high school chess club in a game against the Pittsburgh Steelers... it's a playable experience and your team's got heart, but you're going to have to work through a few broken limbs on your way to victory.
-
Madden NFL 2007 is a solid annual update, but it lacks visual panache and touchscreen brilliance.

GregH.Nov 5, 2006Decent football game for the system. However, the kicking is very frustrating.
