Nintendo PowerA solid title with good football sense and strong gameplay. [Oct 2005, p.97]
-
It’s just too bad that EA Sports hasn’t really stepped up the game’s minor faults from last year. Still, this one is worth the purchase price.
-
The Nintendo DS version of Madden NFL 06 scores 75%.
-
There are some promising features here, but most of them are either implemented poorly or tacked on as an afterthought, and the camera angles and difficult passing game don't help things. Madden NFL 06 is really for fanatics only.
-
Madden NFL 06 DS is not a better game than "Madden NFL 2005 DS." Madden should improve with every year, but for the reasons above, it didn't this time.
-
It's clearly evolving, and perhaps if and when the game's ready for the 2007 namesake the development team will have had a lot more time and experience with the DS system to fully present Madden the way it should be on the dual screen handheld.
-
Yet, gameplay is still the biggest flaw, with inconsistent AI (the computer never runs and doesn’t manage the clock effectively in the second half) and electric football-style physics.
