Everyone else can complain about the lack of difficulty and 'lite' gameplay mechnics. Meanwhile we'll all be smashing Lego Nazis with a beaming smile emblazoned on our faces.
-
Beautifully designed and a joy from start to finish - DS gets possibly the best version of Lego Indy of them all.
-
AceGamezThere are a handful of games for the DS that you must own: Mario Kart DS, WarioWare: Touched, nintendogs, New Super Mario Bros., and a few others. LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures is up there with all of these, with its stylish and appealing graphics, great sense of humour, superb playability and amazing lifespan. Plus, there are very few games where you can discover Santa on a level and then, erm, break him into bits. Nice.
-
So, if you're jonesing for some Indiana on the go, you've got a great option with LEGO Indiana Jones.
-
Official Nintendo Magazine UKA brilliantly tongue in cheek take on the first three movies. [Aug 2008, p.100]
-
The game takes ample advantage of the DS' touch screen for some of the characters' unique skills, but fortunately it doesn't force you to use them.
-
I’m afraid that if the LEGO franchise continues in this direction the novelty will end up wearing thin (I’m looking at you, Batman), but for now it still feels somewhat fresh.
-
This is basically exactly what fans of the last few LEGO games will be expecting: fun, not-too-taxing, enjoyable gameplay with tongue-in-cheek humour, loads of stuff to unlock and plenty of replay value.
-
n-Revolution Magazine UKWith different gameplay, it's worth getting even if you own the Wii game. [Issue#24, p.77]
-
The main issue between this version of the game and the console versions is simply personal preference.
-
Overall, Indiana Jones: The Original Trilogy is cute and good for one or two laughs but is likely to bore older gamers. It's a perfect title, though, for gamers 10 and under.
-
Nintendo PowerGranted, it has the same basic, easy-to-pick-up-and-play gameplay, but it also has some neat DS-exclusive features(touch-screen minigames, for example)that make it stand out. [July 2008, p.90]
-
Unfortunately, it's almost exactly the same accessible, fun and goofy experience, so those that had their fill of Lego games with earlier outings won't find enough new stuff here to get them excited all over again, Indiana Jones fanatics notwithstanding.
-
Lego Indiana Jones, while extremely competent, isn't quite as exciting as Lego Star Wars was simply because it feels like we've been here before.
-
This charming adventure has its pitfalls, but it's still a lot of fun.
