The Lego rendition of The Boy Who lived is a seriously charming take on the life of a wizard, with loads of gameplay variety and an emphasis on discovery.
-
As much fun as previous DS games, though Potter perhaps doesn't translate quite as well to Lego.
-
There are a lot of characters, magic tricks and secrets to discover. The controls are a bit awkward but the charming lego world will entertain you for a couple of hours.
-
While not quite as fulfilling an experience as that of its Wii counterpart, the game still provides a nice puzzle-infused platforming romp that should more than please fans of the Harry Potter series of books and movies.
-
LEGO Harry Potter's DS debut has a good foundation, decent gameplay, and tons of content.
-
Traveller's Tales have sure struck a gold mine with the LEGO series. Their earlier block-themed games have been charmingly cute and amusing, and Harry Potter is no exception. You can't blame them for sticking to a winning formula, as Potter and LEGO fans will likely flock to play this game.

Nintendo GamerLacks the charm, fluid controls and, crucially, wit of the brilliant Wii game. [July 2010, p.56]
