Definitely not a must own but also definitely better than a 5/10 game. This match 3 game has a pretty decent pace and unlocks abilities to help you clear each level. If you don't complete a level a slightly different version of the same level will come up next time with different abilities assisting you from getting stuck not being able to ever clear a level. If you don't complete a level a slightly different version of the same level will come up next time with different abilities assisting you from getting stuck not being able to ever clear a level. Abilities are on cool downs and with this variety the game limits repetitive boredom. The rewards for completely levels aren't very much you move on and eventually improve your civilizations buildings which are quite unspectacular but at least act as a place mark for where you are within the game. There are 100 levels and they do get progressively more challenging building on your skill as you get better and better. The games levels time limits are nearly almost perfect. I did come across one level however that was rude to me and that level alone cost me probably about one third of my total play time for the entire game. That sounds like a broken game but by the time I hit that level I felt quite capable and actually enjoyed this challenge as it was the only level I actually thought was insane and truly was a boss level from my perspective even though game wise it was really just another level. Apart from that this game was pretty much pick up and play and was enjoyable throughout. Again, nothing mind blowing but addictive enough to carry on with. Expand

  1. With no multiplayer options and an extremely weak tutorial system, it isn’t hard to see that Jewel Master Egypt was created with a tight budget. But with flawed game design, frustrating level structure, and inaccurate style control, DS owners are much better off looking elsewhere for their puzzle gaming fix.
  2. This is not a fun game, and that's the cornerstone of all games, fun.

It is that addicting and, because of it, it is easy to overlook the faults and focus on the satisfyingly simple nature of the game.
