The game is not bad, a smattering of puzzles and lots of whip use. The pistol is almost an afterthought (you only have six shots most of the time anyway). Really, many of the quests can be finished in two to five minutes and that's just not long enough. Overall a good game and I'm glad I got it, but it needs more depth. (that's why I'm not giving it a nine). There's too little here for a 40 dollar game, this should be 20 or 30 dollars max. YMMV. P. Expand

The game is fun, with better graphics than most DS games. It features loads of challenges and different puzzles to solve. The Cipher mode is also a whole new aspect and throws in another part to the game. The RPG format is also well done, although sometimes a bit annoying when you can't get to someplace that's right next to you.

WTF? How did this game get anything above a 1/10? The design's terrible! There's only one boss fight and to beat it you have to switch into combat mode, block his attacks, and then quickly with luck pick up a chair and quickly switch into combat mode and attack at the last second because you can't block with a chair in your hands and attack or else he takes away half your health and thenWTF? (Let me remind you this is after fighting 3 men.) The controls? WHAT CONTROL?! It tries to use the stylus by using it to interact with things and moving around when the A button should have just been used to interact, the D-pad to move around, and the stylus only for the atrocious combat, but NO! NO! NONONONONO! The combat tries to use different moves, but it is so impossible to control and you'll just swipe your way out of fights. The levels are tedious and horrible, the plot has everything from a jones movie except for fun, the graphics are barely 3d and the cryptic puzzle solving sections feature satanic symbols! I swear was this game made just to brainwash children into worshiping Satan and the just slapped Indy's face on it? Wouldn't be too far off. I felt like I was the angry video game nerd when I was playing this game! Expand

  1. Poor production values, a boring story, and rigid gameplay make this an adventure best left alone. If there is ever a sequel on the DS, it will need a lot of polish before cracking its whip again.
  2. Entertaining combat and quirky puzzles save this game from belonging in a museum.
  3. Even in its most blatantly obvious moments, the game’s plot is still distinctly Indy - minus that whole fun aspect, of course.
