The music was good, if not a tad grating after awhile. The visuals are amazing, even if they're scaled down from the Xbox and Wii versions; EVERYTHING GLOWS. A bit of a flaw to me would be the very last world: you have to sync your DS to the Wii version to unlock it. So you basically have to buy the same game twice if you want to 100% the game, if your friends don't have it. Still, withThe music was good, if not a tad grating after awhile. Still, with all the worlds on show, you'll definitely have fun trying to get all the gold medals - some of those levels are real **** The gameplay was pretty tight, and you could make the controls however you wanted: Do you want to steer the ship with the stylus, or shoot with it? It's UP TO YOU. Overall, this is an amazing arcade-like shooter in your back pocket. Buy at any cost. Expand

Robotron style old school shoot 'em consciously done in a retro style. Not a bad little blaster in small doses but play for any length of time and it reveals itself to be very, very samey.

  1. There’s a lot more replay value to be found in here, and unlike the forgotten titles that have collected dust since you beat them, Geometry Wars: Galaxies is the sort of game that you’ll want to dive back into for another round (or ten) long after your first encounter.
  2. The control scheme has its quirks, but this is still an intense and enjoyable shooter.

If you can say that you're looking forward to having ice cream for breakfast, lunch and dinner for a week than this is a great title for you. If, somehow, you're totally out of great DS and Gameboy games to play on the go, Galaxies makes for a passable time killer on the road.
