As a game, Brave is as mediocre and hastily made as we've come to expect from adaptions of popular films. And honestly, it's a pity, as the game's basic mechanics seem to work well enough.

The game includes a decent amount of short levels with bosses/parkour/basic puzzles/monsters etc. For a 3D licenced game based on a movie, the graphics are what you might expect. The game does have some problems; the character is hard to control while in combat, the shootable targets are hard to hit even when the weapons automatically target the enemies, the puzzles seem to designed for toddlers on a 12+ game, you can't easily move around the scene when the bosses are present due to their increased size, all upgrades are completed by halfway through the game making the second half of the story bland, boring, and the coins become useless, the enemy spawning is seemingly random so you may need to stay in a small area for a relatively long amount of time to get a gold medal or to progress through the level, and much, much more. Although the game is rated 12+, the content seems to be aimed at 12-, as if the creators wanted a lower rating than it was given, given the premise of the movie. Full Review »
