    Now where do I start with this absolute masterpiece of a game, well I think it's best to start with it's background with the television series Cory In The House, which is the best anime of all time. This seems like a rather strong statement but it mostly due to its brilliant story telling and incredible portrayal of Bush era American politics but this isn't a review of the televisionNow where do I start with this absolute masterpiece of a game, well I think it's best to start with it's background with the television series Cory In The House, which is the best anime of all time. This seems like a rather strong statement but it mostly due to its brilliant story telling and incredible portrayal of Bush era American politics but this isn't a review of the television series it is a review of the game.
    When I first bought this game I initially thought it would be an incredibly derivative knock off of many similar FPS games like Half-life, Quake or Halo but I was blown away when I actually played the game by how it is not just much more innovative than those games but much more artistic and enjoyable.
    The game is set just after the show and you play as a disillusioned Cory who has lost all faith in electoral politics as he battles with injustice and in the later stages of the game attempts to start a revolution. This change in attitude in Cory from his attitude in the show where he is an electoral politician who attempts to make america a better place for the oppressed and remove corruption from american politics is symbolic of the american public losing faith in their elected representatives, in this regard Cory symbolises the inner-most desires of every american even past the want for money, money and more money. He is a man of the people.
    One thing I have not talked about at all yet is the gameplay and this is because of how it relates to the stellar storytelling that this game has to offer. The immediate start of the game starts with a flashback to Corys days as a man on his local council and takes the part of mostly visual novel like dialogue. This is followed up by the majority of the game being Cory having to defend himself with all means of firearms usage which is the FPS aspect of the game that I spoke about earlier. The level design during this part of the game is phenomenal and has extremely deep metaphors for the trauma that swept America after Seven Eleven. The final segment of the game contains mind blowing puzzles that foreshadow the heart wrenching tragedy that the game ends with.
    So to conclude I cannot praise this game enough, it has excellent gameplay, brilliant story telling and amazing graphics. I recommend this game to everyone.    … Expand

    10/10 one of the GOTY contenders for 2023. The controls are solid, the level design is amazing and the story is groundbreaking. I nearly cried durring the ending. This is truly on of the best games I have every played and I hope it will get a sequel one day :)

    this game has a laugh track. like when the written dialogue on the screen is meant to be humorous, an actual sound effect of audience laughter comes from the ds speakers. 10 stars for this feature alone

It redefines what an adaptation should be. Before playing CITH for the ds, I had thought that the closest to thing to "acceptable" that an adaptation game could be was a fighting game that didn't suck. However, Cory in the HouseCory in the House is one of the most influential video games ever made. The design of the stealth sections would clearly inspire later games like Metal Gear Solid. It redefines what an adaptation should be. Before playing CITH for the ds, I had thought that the closest to thing to "acceptable" that an adaptation game could be was a fighting game that didn't suck. However, Cory in the House showed me that an adaptation can be made with just as much charm as the original, reminding me why I fell in love with the anime in the first place. This game combines open world with stealth mechanics in a new and intriguing way, really making you feel like you are stopping an evil toymaker. The only thing missing is Dwayne Johnson, whose appearance in the episode "Never the Dwayne Shall Meet" (S1 EP21). His raw power in the show and rivalry with Cory made me beg for another season, due to the complexity of their battles. Even then, this game has much to offer to new and returning fans. The dialogue is witty, perhaps even more witty than the show. The sprites have more work put into them than past street fighter games(as an example). Almost all of the concepts present in this game can be seen in later media, like pushing buttons to interact with the world and using typed dialogue to simulate discussion with NPCs. In addition, the game has numerous minigames that will remind gamers of later games like Final Fantasy 7. Speaking of which, the final battle in CITH rivals even that of the fight between Cloud vs Sephiroth. Seriously. The music is incredible. You should buy this game and play it right now even if you don't have a DS.… Expand

"Cory in the House" is, and always will be, a masterpiece above all others. It's unbelievable that it was created by mere mortals. I cannot convince myself that this game has not been lovinglyI cried countless times playing this... this masterpiece. The entire time, I wept silently, in awe at the power of what I was witnessing. Even now, as I write this, I am tearing up a little bit. "Cory in the House" is, and always will be, a masterpiece above all others. It's unbelievable that it was created by mere mortals. I cannot convince myself that this game has not been lovingly crafted by God himself, touched by his divine influence. My sympathy for those who have not played it is... endless, to put it simply. They will never know true joy, and I pity them greatly for that. Of course, they could just play it and achieve enlightenment, but I truly think that those untouched by its beauty will be incinerated on contact with its glorious case, its perfect cartridge. The raw power emanating from its physical form is far too much for a non-believer. I pity them. I pity them for the fact that they will never know the experience of playing "Cory in the House" for the Nintendo DS, released on April 15th, A.D. 2008. When I first made contact with the item, I was immediately and forcefully thrust from my corporeal form, and placed in front of a counsel of celestial beings, all of whom having complete control over the universe itself. After testifying to them, and expressing my desire to play the game, they allowed me to live, and I am now a changed man. I owe my life to "Cory in the House." I apologize for the long review, but I simply couldn't have expressed my feelings on this masterful work of art in anything less than what I have already written.     Cory in the House amazes me every time I play it. It's like each time I come back, thrice a year or so, I enjoy it more and more. It's on the same quality as Shrek Super Slam (GBA version, of course), the Bee Movie game and the Johnny Test game. Truly the best games of all time. (Only rivaled by Sam and Max Hit the Road, but that goes without saying)

Sometimes I get a massive bone just by playing, (PS no other game was able to do that besides Garfield Kart). It was so good that my wifes boyfriend would ask at times to play, which I would haveOh boy this brings back memories, after a long days of work you know I would be playing Cory in house for hours.     Cory in the House is no mere "game". Nothing could be further than the truth. A game is something that you must complete; Cory in the house for the Nintendo DS, however, is something that completes you. Brimming with Pathos, emotion, and pure unadulterated fun, it is truly a forgotten masterpiece of American entertainment.     I give this game a 10/10 because I think it should get a reboot. There's lot of videos about how the hit Show became a Japanese Anime. I give it a 10/10. Let's hope for a reboot of the show. Only Time Will Tell... :D

But then, later on after watching video essays of the game's story, it finally hits you: One of the main antagonists! The Troll King, commonly known as King Troll who is based on a real 20th century occultist. He spends most of his time in the background of the story, often making decisions that will allow his mysterious plan to come closer to fruition. We don't find out much about him in the the first arcs of the game which is why in the later half we see him shine as a character. He is one of the most interesting and well written characters in fiction. Antagonists or villains are defined by their motives. Why are they 'bad'? What is their goal? Are they even evil in the first place? What truly is evil? Are we all evil? Villains can come under many stereotypes due to this: a pure evil person who wants nothing but world destruction or to accomplish something morally unjust, a person turned 'evil' due to circumstance, a person who is not evil but has ideals or beliefs that conflict with the protagonist's, or a person who wants to do something bad but in the end wants to achieve something good by doing so. Surely the Troll King is a 'bad person', he is responsible for the many inhuman experiments during the story of the game. But why is the Troll King like this in the first place?     Most deep title i have ever played. The game have great The God Father references like when Victor Bexter goes buy oranges then two hitmen, Zack and Cody, shots Victor making Cory Bexter the new head of the family. Other masterpieces heavily inspired this title like Casa Blanca and White House Madness. I hope we get the next instalment soon and see how Cory's vendeta ends.
