    I picked up the game because i was a fan of the other games. I honestly didn't think it was terrible, the battle were essentially boring, and you digimon evolve and return to eggs by themselves without much of your input and most of the game in centered around the battle, which you do not even control much at all. Although later in the game you were able to control one of your digimon inI picked up the game because i was a fan of the other games. Although later in the game you were able to control one of your digimon in battle, it was extremely hard and annoying to control and even land an attack. Unlike most people, I enjoyed the pixelated sprites and special attacks, although they were slightly repetitive. I disliked having to feed and clean up after your digimon and having to waste money an things like food and medicine in case your digimon got hurt. Overall, I would like to see some kind of sequel, and see what they could potentially do better.… Expand

    This game is a fun call back to the early, Tomogotchi days of Digimon, and is a addicting game all around. The battle system is rather disappointing how you don't directly control the Digimon in combat, but the sprite work is fantastic and capturing or Digivolving the Digimon is fun.

    As someone who enjoys management simulators and the like, I feel this game is misrepresented.
    If you're looking for a turn-based. or action RPG like the other Digimon titles, then turn away from this as you will surely like it as much as the other reviewers.

    This is a strange game indeed. On the one hand the inclusion of many Digimon, especially baby Digimon, is nice. But on the other hand the lack of player involvement in battles and such is unfortunate. One thing I really don't like is how frequent Title Matches are. Considering they're really the whole point of the game, you should get more time to prepare by training. Digimon gettingThis is a strange game indeed. Digimon getting injured is also not something I like, and it's pretty weird to see a majestic Digimon like Angemon or Angewoman take a dump. Overall my biggest problem with it is that the game feels too rushed, with Title Match after Title Match, and the time flying so a day is less than 2 real minutes.… Expand

    The battles are good. But, the huge problem with this game is very short time. You won't have enough time to train and raise Digimon. You won't be able to get a ton of medals in one day. The game should had been based on real time.

    Another glorified Tamagotchi rendered utterly pointless by battles over which you have absolutely no control.

    lmao all these people complaining that you can't control the digimon during battle "hurr durr you don't actually play the game" these people don't realize the point of the game or the fact that your job is to raise the digimon to fight on their own like really, they have no idea what they are talking about.

    The game is wonderful, it indeed feels like an upgrade of the old Digimon V-Pets that are now either fairly rare and expensive or hoarded by collectors ergo not really available to the public.
    I enjoyed discovering the "secrets" that would allow you to raise many different creatures in the game and even though this was frustrating at times it still felt like a genuine V-Pet. Not too    The game is wonderful, it indeed feels like an upgrade of the old Digimon V-Pets that are now either fairly rare and expensive or hoarded by collectors ergo not really available to the public.
    I enjoyed discovering the "secrets" that would allow you to raise many different creatures in the game and even though this was frustrating at times it still felt like a genuine V-Pet. Not too unfair and not excessively easy either.

    The only bad points of it would be the following:

    The game pacing is relatively quick, I didn't particularly mind this when I was raising my Digimon but when I had to be ready for a match it was such a hassle

    You can not have that many digimon because the amount of memory (each Digimon depending on species and generation tends to consume different amounts of memory to be kept) is airly low and even when you get to beat the "story mode" of the game it is still considerably low, therefore you must decide which Digimon to keep and which ones to release or sacrifice (should that be an option).

    I felt the amount of Digimon to raise was lower then it should have and would've prefer to have access to a few other Digimon but even with this I found the game to be quite enjoyable

    Good Points:

    The game pace is faster than the V-pets' are supposed to be, this means you can make your digimon evolve or become stronger in fairly little time and have them battle ready at any given point

    The password system: Even when Nintendo took the Wi-Fi down you can still have battles with your friends world wide thanks to a password system that allows other players to battle different teams owned by real players

    A nice post-game bonus!
    When you start the game you can have 3 Digimon battle on matches or against other players but you can not control any of them. When you get to beat the game and fulfil the Digimon Encyclopedia you gain control of all your digimon in a battle (one at a time) which honestly felt quite rewarding

    Evolving the digimon is a really fun experience once you know/have discovered the requisites and every time they "die" and get to be reborn as eggs they become stronger.

    You can hunt several species of Digimon in their natural habitats as if they were wild animals for you to tame, the time of the day/night and the season determines where will a species be located, this would mean that you would rarely find the same digimon over and over in the same maps as the years (in game years) pass.    … Expand

Eu diria que a única coisa que odeio é o fato do sistema de digievolução ser confuso, e nada intuitivo. Você quase nunca vai saber para o que seu Digimon vai evoluir, e você tem que descobrir tudo na tentativa e erro.     Fine addition to the Digimon World franchise. If you liked the Tamagotchi-esc gameplay of the OG Digimon World games, then this is within your interests.

    Digimon: World Championship feels a lot like the little handheld virtual pets that inspired it. While this is great for a trip down memory lane, it just doesn't work as a standalone game.

    A great step up from the digital pets of old, and would be a good choice for the youngest of gamer demographics. Other than that, the game lacks any real gameplay value and is more a time-consuming and minimally enjoyable chore.
