  1. The music selection is great and the four person multiplayer is the real highlight.
  2. Regardless of whether or not the setlist is everybody’s cup of tea, Band Hero’s many additions and mechanical enhancements easily make it the most solid of the franchise’s handheld iterations.
  3. Band Hero takes the musical genre one step further, and demonstrates its viability on handheld platforms. It might be some time before it replaces the console versions, however. A better guitar, and a more serious dedication to rewarding gameplay would really draw the crowds.

Band Hero is fun and has a bunch of good tunes if you like junk food music like I do, but this is the same experience you’ve been getting out of the Guitar Hero On Tour franchise.
  5. 75
Band Hero is a solid addition to the portable series, but as they continue to segregate the franchises the audiences will continue to dwindle.
  6. Band Hero for DS is a fun portable music game, but contains enough head-scratching design elements to be frustrating.

The charts for the drums range from good to stupid, and some sections are very difficult to play with the grip or buttons. Sections with long repeated notes on the drums are impossible to play on the grip, and the developers should have realized this. Full Review »
