A forgettable comedy is actually a good table tennis game on the DS.
-
Overall, Balls of Fury for DS delivers surprisingly solid touch control ping-pong action on the go.
-
Nintendo GamerAll it needs is for someone to strip out the associations with the film and you'd have a decent table tennis game. [Christmas 2007, p.70]
-
Yep, I was surprised that Balls of Fury turned out to be a playable, challenging game of Table Tennis on the Nintendo DS. The license is barely used and the design's about as funny as an episode of Small Wonder, but at least the Ping Pong is solid.
-
Balls of Fury was entertaining for a short period of time, but it does get repetitive pretty fast. Thankfully it’s priced appropriately and provides enough entertainment in small doses to justify the cost.
-
It’s not going to be an award winner, and it might not stay in your heart or mind for too long, but it is a fresh new game for the DS.
-
In the end, Balls of Fury is just another movie game that pushes the envelope of how bad things can get when someone says, "We need a movie tie-in game for our crappy film!" Seriously, Balls of Fury is a terrible movie with a terrible licensed game attached to it.
