  1. Astro Boy is simply not where it needs to be. Not too much fun found here and the fun that is found, is so tough to get to, it will alienate its core audience.
  2. A bad camera and bad controls, however, quickly shoot down this game with little to no hope of it getting better as you progress. For fans of the movie and the character, it would be best to hunt down the GBA game to get their fix. If you don't have a system that can play that, however, your best bet would be to hold off on this and hope that someone will come along and do justice to this revered character.

Decent cartoony graphics but it's old fashioned in a bad way...the Astro Boy game on the GBA is actually much better. Full Review »

I really wanted to like it for that reason, but the game just feels so clunky it throws off the experience.

Really you just travel throughout the stage with some clunky platforming. You are forced to stop rather frequently to fight groups of enemies in areas that make it somewhat impossible to dodge anything, but it doesn't matter much as you are so powerful that it isn't that difficult anyway. If you are looking for any sort of challenge, certainly crank the difficulty up.

The music is grating and repetitive and I felt the need to mute it shortly after beginning the play experience.

Overall I cannot really recommend the game. THe GBA port seems to be a better port for those interested in an Astro Boy game.
