A mixture of entertaining mini-games covering the whole spectrum of entertainment through to frustration. [Jan 2008, p.84]

101-in-1 Explosive Megamix is the kind of game that handhelds were built for; plenty of variety, with little substance to back it up.
  3. With a little more work, this could have been a stand-out casual title for the DS, but sadly this megamix is not as explosively fun as I would prefer.
  4. 101 in 1 Explosive MegaMix is generally a good game but its inconsistency, along with the sore spot that the minigames are all locked from the get go, make it hard to truly recommend.

There are some okay ideas here, just not 101 of them. [Feb 2009, p.76]
  6. Not all the mini-games on offer here are winners, but the structure of 101-in-1 Explosive Megamix not only minimises frustration but spurs you forward too.
  7. Explosive Megamix is only $20, so it can be looked at as a value title. However, there are plenty of other value titles that have better gameplay.
  8. If you enjoy mini-games, you'll enjoy this, but you'll be very aware that a few changes could have made this cheap and cheerful package a whole lot better.

The music is extremely repetitive and just hard to listen to. Functionally it works for the most part, but the gameplay is very boring. There are no difficulty settings, every game gives you a minute to complete and objective. That's it. BORING. Full Review »
