Dreamcast HQI'm currently in gave 5 of my 52 game season, and I would be lying if I said I'm not enjoying the game.
-
Even though it is somewhat of dissatisfaction, I will say there is a bit of fun, but also frustration.
-
Game FanWhile the game's flaws didn't bother me that much after I'd played for a while, the initial shock of not being able to control your fielders may be too much for many baseball fans to take.
-
The graphics are stunning and the season mode will keep you busy for quite a while.
-
AntagonistThe blandest and most underacheiving sports game I've ever played in my life.
-
Dreamcast.netI can guarantee that there will be moments when you will not have fun playing this game.
-
Your outfielders are all apparently modeled after Greg Luzinski, because they each can only cover about ten feet of territory.
-
This game falls short of Sega's recent track record for sports games and just isn't worth the price of admission.
-
AllDreamcastThere are no words to describe the emptiness this game leaves you with after months of built-up excitement.
-
Sega XThis game and its creators ought to all be shipped back to the farm leagues for a course in how to play baseball.
-
If you expose the horrendous fielding engine for what it is, subject yourself to the constant visual chop in the infield, and listen to the amateur-level commentary, your positive game session can quickly turn into a frustrating one.
-
This is a thoroughly disappointing effort, and one that does not live up to the World Series Baseball name.
-
(Like some supermodels), there isn’t much to it beyond its looks.
-
The game literally has so many flaws that it is impossible to mention them all in a single review.
-
So I say to Sega, "Take me out of the ball game, forget the peanuts and Cracker Jacks, this boy's American pastime has been botched by Sega of America. Let freedom ring."
-
CheckOutIt's one of the most disappointing titles I've seen in a long time.
-
CNET GamecenterBy far the weakest of the Sega Sports lineup.
-
The game's sound system is simply awful. The game features a single commentator with about as much life as a rock.
-
I think we should all tip our hats and have a moment of silence because "World Series Baseball 2K1" was dead on arrival.
-
Run, do not walk, AWAY from this game.
-
Daily RadarIt's extremely frustrating to blow a lead after coughing up runs because of this dreadful defense, and certainly the most damning part of the whole error-laden farce.
