    This is the absolute best game ever. I loved it, it's better then the original, altough the origanal was good for it's time and it's my fav game too, SA2 is simply, THE BEST DAMN GAME EVER!

    Sonic Adventure 2 has so few flaws - just the Sonic levels would have made it a decent game, but it goes so much further. A bandicoot you say?

    There are many improvements in this game in comparison to the previous title. Graphics are better, levels are more difficult and there are no strange boring characters like there was in Sonic Adventure. And Chaos Garden is still there for those who enjoy minigames. But for anyone who played Sonic Adventure at the time of Dreamcast`s release, when it was revolutionary and its first trulyThere are many improvements in this game in comparison to the previous title. Graphics are better, levels are more difficult and there are no strange boring characters like there was in Sonic Adventure. And Chaos Garden is still there for those who enjoy minigames. But for anyone who played Sonic Adventure at the time of Dreamcast`s release, when it was revolutionary and its first truly fantastic 3D gameplay, sonic adventure might be a little bit better. Its cute, the storyline is quite consistent and you can notice how it was tailor made for the console and how they wanted to carefully build a killer game to promote it at its release.
    I cant find a reason for Sonic Adventure 2 to have a score lower than 90. Its fast, its colorful, there are many different stages that change the atmosphere dramatically. The gameplay its nearly perfect - of course there are glitches, most games do... but they are definitely not enough to annoy you. Its a special game for all sonic fans I`m sure, especially for those who prefer modern sonic rather than classic sonic (not saying non-sonic fans wont like it, its just that sonic is kind of a genre itself when it comes to people willing to buy it - they tend to either love it or hate it).     good game with a great story and gameplay. it also has great music and graphics for the time but poor voice acting. the multiplayer is pretty fun too.

    Full ten out of ten every time. This is without a doubt my favorite game of all time. Oddly enough for a sonic game the best parts of this one were its awesome story and UNBELIEVABLE music. Gameplay for the majority is pretty smooth and fun, though camera angles and minor glitches can sometimes put some deterrence in it. Did i forget to mention the OUTSTANDING soundtrack.     Best 3D Sonic in the series. The story is astounding, the music score is just epic, it's still graphically beautiful even today ( 2012)...THIS is what sonic is about. The best.

    Sonic Adventure 2 was the 10th anniversary Sonic game and was originally supposed to be the last Sonic game in the Sonic franchise after the Dreamcast was doing really bad. Sonic Team realized they needed to make the best game possible and while Sonic Adventure 2 is not my "favorite" Sonic game, it is very close to it. The story is the best story I have seen in a Sonic game. The story is the best story I have seen in a Sonic game. Eggman continues his path of destruction but this time he continues what his grandfather left off. That is an ultimate machine that can destroy the world and there is a lifeform named Shadow who used to serve Eggman's grandfather. I like the introduction to a new character in the game and I like how Sonic finally has a counterpart in the series. Another thing I like is how the open world was taken away because I found it extremely frustrating in SA1. Also, there are 2 stories which intertwine with eachother and 3 different gameplay styles. Sonic and Shadow rely on speed, Tails and Eggman rely on blasting enemies using a machine, and Knuckles and Rouge who hunt for chaos emeralds. I love the soundtrack, the level designs, and pretty much everything about this game!… Expand

    Sonic Adventure 2 is possibly known best for it's outstanding music and fun Chao Garden. With both great things in hand it greats an amazing feeling that'll get people to come back for more. From fast gameplay to slow, Sonic Adventure 2 mixes up The feel of the game to make sure you're getting more for your buck. Sonic Adventure 2 is a gem that should always be remembered among Dreamcast games.

    This is easily the best sonic game I ever played.
    With good level design, great music and a good story.
    And fun extra's like chao garden and kart race.

    I recomend it to everyone who owns a dreamcast or gamecube.

But in gameplay, graphics and physics the game was so good, that it can compete with todays PS3 and even PS4 titles. Yes, the story wasn't good, but it's a running game and such games don't need stories. It's very good that SEGA has ported it, because younger players can also play this masterpiece.

    The story is epic, presentation is adventurous, the controls slick, and the gameplay is perfect. A 10/10. Of course, we'll sadly always have those stupid, stupid idiots slandering this game's perfectly fine gameplay. (rolls eyes) Sonic fanbase.

    A perfect game! this is the ultimate sonic game! Don't believe me? Play it for yourself! this is one of my favorite games ever! My love for this game is partly because it's the first game I ever played, but even if it isn't, it's almost guaranteed to put a smile on your face!

    I will be 100% honest now. SA2 was all SEGA needed. The pieces that make the game? Shadow, ARK and the story. This is my favourite game of all series, and I could say the "found you, faker!" dialogue from my mind. This is the game you want to go for if you're sick of werehog and 06.

    A really good game, especially his new versions. The fact that the history is good, and there is 2P battle, already does the game. I ve played the Story mode with my brother, obviously the history is Single-Player, but we did it in our way. If someone not like this game, and won't will buy it, he is wasting his time with i-dunno-what.

    Sonic Adventure 2 is one of the best games SEGA done so far. Game has perfect soundtrack and gameplay. There can be few glitches in game like a bus stuck in my camera view in City Escape, wall high-jump, infinite time-stop, skipping levels and etc. But game is good overall. 10/10

    This is an amazing game. You can finally play as eggman, shadow has been introduced, and rouge is just awesome. This is one of the best sonic games. I also like it because of the freaking awesome Live and Learn soundtrack.

These levels & music are 100% nostalgic. City Escape I will never forget cause that level is fast paced. The variety is huge and this is the best Dreamcast game of all time.     The best sonic game ever created in my opinion. It is what every sonic should have been but wasn't. If i would give it a actual score it would be 9.8 and it is because i really don't like the level songs with lyrics they are really cheesy and stupid. But anything else is great, literally i don't have anything else to complain about the game

I liked all 3 three modes of this gaming, which includes: Speeding, shooting and treasure hunting. It had variety of missions which were very fun to play and get A ranks in them.     O melhor jogo do Sonic disparado e também meu jogo favorito de todos os tempos, joguei no Dreamcast, zerei no GameCube e fiz 100% no PS3, esse jogo é uma LENDA VIVA e para o último jogo do Sonic no console da Sega, não podia espera menos. Meu sonho é Sonic Adventure 3, mas acho mais fácil lançar Half-Life 3 do que uma continuação para esse jogo...

It simultaneously has a surprisingly well-written, emotional and engaging story - without all of the cringe that is common for Modern Sonic games - and a vast and fun gameplay based on a solid platforming in a thoughtfuly done environment. It was a surprise for me just how many paths and juicy stuff there are in many levels like Final Rush and White JungleThis is the best Sonic game ever. It simultaneously has a surprisingly well-written, emotional and engaging story - without all of the cringe that is common for Modern Sonic games - and a vast and fun gameplay based on a solid platforming in a thoughtfuly done environment. It was a surprise for me just how many paths and juicy stuff there are in many levels like Final Rush and White Jungle - all of that just to encourage you to exploration and creativity without losing a sense of speed and momentum. Also Chao Garden is a helluva drug - I spend in it even more time than in actual levels, i guess, trying to eugenize The Ultimate Chao. So, basically, there are two games in one package - one of the best platformers of all time and a tamagochi, lel.

    This game is my childhood, You could be sitting hours and hours just trying to do what's possible and still not be done with it, there's too much to do with the game and everything you do can be so much fun, this is the game that can be played by many types of players, If only sega has followed their own example of a godly game maybe it would be more succesful nowadays.

    An absolutely BRILLIANT game! It takes all that was good in Sonic Adventure 1, and expands on it even further! The game is split up into 2 stories- Hero and Dark. In the Hero story, you must save the world from Eggman's dastardly doings, as you usually would. You can be Sonic, Tails or Knuckles, each controlling differently and have different goals for each stage they play. In Dark mode,An absolutely BRILLIANT game! It takes all that was good in Sonic Adventure 1, and expands on it even further! The game is split up into 2 stories- Hero and Dark. In the Hero story, you must save the world from Eggman's dastardly doings, as you usually would. You can be Sonic, Tails or Knuckles, each controlling differently and have different goals for each stage they play. In Dark mode, you can be Shadow, Eggman and Rouge and you need to destroy the planet? Yes, this is the only Sonic game where you have the option to be the villain! Each story is fun, entertaining, and sometimes quite emotional. They all control very well, but Tails and Eggman's mech controls could be improved, but it isn't that big a deal. Then, as a little side plot, there's the Chao garden. Oh boy... the Chao garden is the most useless yet addictive side game of all time! By finding a Chao key in the stage you just beat, you get the option to visit the Chao World, where... you guessed it... chao live. (If you've been to the Chao World once before, you can then select it on the world map at any time.) You begin with 2 eggs, both of which will hatch in a few seconds and you get your first 2 Chao. Look after them by petting them and feeding them, and it'll change colour from blue to white or black, depending on the character you use. The more white or black your chao gets, the stronger it will be in their races. Races, I hear you ask? Yes, you can indeed race your chao in this game. But not the dreadful chao races from SA1, oh, no-no-no. These races are a fun test of your chao's skill and ability, and every time your chao wins, it gets happier and healthier, so it's a great way to get your chao stronger. You can even save your Chao to your VMU to train it on the go! There's so much more the Chao garden has to offer, but I'll leave that for you to find out. That's about it for the masterpiece that is Sonic Adventure 2, and do I recommend it? Yes! It's absolutely brilliant, and is pretty long, so it'll keep you occupied for months!So much fun, and I am still patiently awaiting that Sonic Adventure 3, SEGA...… Expand

    Look, honestly, Sonic Adventure 2 is and will always be, one of the best games of its generation, many people say **** about this game, and how "bad it is" and how "it aged so poorly", well my friend, this is false, yes it has aged poorly (really poorly in fact!) but, at the time, people had different standards for video games, everyone said that it was amazing at the time! everyone wasLook, honestly, Sonic Adventure 2 is and will always be, one of the best games of its generation, many people say **** about this game, and how "bad it is" and how "it aged so poorly", well my friend, this is false, yes it has aged poorly (really poorly in fact!) but, at the time, people had different standards for video games, everyone said that it was amazing at the time! everyone was raving about it, for the last Sonic The Hedgehog game to ever be released on a Sega console, they really went out with a loud ass bang!
    In these days, people hyper-analyze Sonic games and turn every single nitpick into a game-breaking problem, and they blame the game for their lack of skill, and plus, they act like these old games are new! And on the other side of the neighborhood in Mario's house, when people criticize Mario 64, people say: "Oh no no, it's perfect and plus it's defined a generation!" or just "well it came out a long time ago", which I can understand but, don't do the same to sonic games and act like if you're right.
    But for now, If you are looking for an incredible 3D Sonic experience, Sa2 is a perfect choice!
    Amazing game-play, great and memorable Story, expansive content, great side mode, basically everything to keep you up for a long time!

    Sonic Adventure 2, although not as good as the first, it's still an amazing game! The story is phenomenal and the 3 styles of gameplay are all fantastic with Sonic and Shadows being the best. Tails and Eggman is like Gamma's stages but more unique and still fun. Knuckles and Rouges stages although sometimes annoying, I can still get a good kick out of it. 10/10 Great game!

    Best 3D Sonic game for sure! No argument that this is a top 3 DC title and a must have for your collection.

    Great story and great graphics. A lot more development work put into the Chao garden with the addition of mini games as well.

    Sonic Adventure is a great game. Sonic Adventure 2 is a masterpiece. He defined what the saga would be in the following years, gave us two characters to remember and gave us one of the most iconic themes in the history of gaming, Live & Learn.

Shadow is a great rival and his backstory tends to take turns along with the story. Well there are two sides to Play as the hero and the bad guys which gives main characters of the series get more of a spotlight. By the way the controls are exceptional and all the levels are creative and are explorable with iconic titles and pretty great graphics for a 2001 game. All of these shortcomings don't really matter to me, but these are still shortcomings nonetheless. But hey, at least there are mods for the PC version that fixes some of these issues.

    But please, let's not pretend that Wind Waker and Mario Sunshine (games that came out around the same time as the GC version of this game) are flawless as well. Those games have problems of their own and yet everyone still praises them to death. Everyone's happy to talk down to SA2 for its flaws and yet ignore the flaws in those two other games, great as they are. A bit unfair, don't you think?

    But now, let's get to the good parts.
    In my opinion, this is one of, if not, the best Sonic game ever made. I don't have much nostalgic attraction towards this game, and yet I still love it a lot. This game builds on top of its predecessor, SA1 (which is a pretty good game) and improves almost everything from it. Gameplay is better, music is as amazing as usual, story is neat and enjoyable, graphics are charming as hell (well, the Dreamcast graphics, anyways) and the writing is as cheesy as ever, but in a good way.

    The game features fast speed stages that require you to be attentive and reactive to any obstacle coming your way, with the reward being the satisfaction of speed. You're encouraged to do special tricks like grinding rails and chaining homing attacks to get A ranks here.
    Then there are the treasure-hunting stages, which are quite fun. I see people bashing the treasure-hunting stages non-stop, and while I can see where they're coming from, to me they are pretty damn neat. It's so damn fun to just explore the stages and glide around. They are still quite fast imo, just not as fast as the speed stages.

    The mech stages are also great. The movement is definitely a bit slow but the levels make up for that by requiring you to be extra-attentive and quick-minded when to protect yourself from getting hit by enemies. I love getting combos and farming chaos drives for my Chao Garden in these stages.

    Oh, speaking of which, the Chao Garden is the best part of any videogame ever and I don't need to tell you why. All I can tell you is that my pet chao are now legally my children and you can't tell me otherwise, I love them that much.

    The ranking system is also amazing and adds loads of replay value to these stages and it's really damn cool.

    Overall, my favorite Sonic game ever (right next to Sonic Mania) and one of my favorite games ever. It deserves way more love than it gets on the internet imho. 9.7/10, right next to Sonic Mania.    … Expand

    I played this game for the first time because i heard that it is the best 3d sonic game, but i disagree. IT is the best sonic game of them all. Holds up well even by today's standards, all three gameplay styles are enjoyable and soundtrack is FIRE.

The sonic and shadow levels are great and fun to play, and the treasure hunter levels are mid to me. But overall this game still deserves a 10.… Expand

    This is also home to one of the most iconic stages in sonic history: City Escape.

    Definitely the one of the best sonic games my only complaint is the space levels with rouge and knuckles other than that the story is one of the best the characters are great

    The variety in Sonic Adventure 2 exceeds any game on the DC -- including Sonic Adventure. Pros: The Sonic and Shadow stages are fast and fun; variety of characters to play with different goals to play for; fantastic visuals; excellent level design; multi-player is stellar. Cons: Frustrating camera; frequent framerate issues; Tails' and Eggman's stages are the weakest points in the game.
