I admit that I doubted Capcom's ability to continue their fear effect *snicker* with the Resident Evil franchise. But it seems that they are not only becoming bigger and more graphically intense, but more engrossing as well. With the crisp new 3D world, the wonderfully modeled characters, music and sound effects to die for (couldn't help it), and a story line that takes you on a 2 disc ride of suspense, what else do you need? Well, maybe better voice actors. Steve's voice was grating on me throughout the first half of the game. But other than that, this game is a must own Dreamcast title along with Crazy Taxi, Soul Calibur, and Dead or Alive 2.

Resident Evil: Code Veronica is the best game in the series, thanks to features like dynamic real-time camera angles, a wonderful linear story, and some of the best graphics seen on the Dreamcast. To call it a must-own game is a definite understatement.

The fact is, the more I got pulled in to the game's amazing theatrics, the less I cared. The things that have always sucked about Resident Evil still bite the big one in Code Veronica. In addition to the wonky control, the item box is still evil. And yes, you still can only hold the load of a 5 year-old with one hand tied behind their back. But by the same token, everything, from the cameras to the incredible level of facial detail in some of the cinemas sets new standards for the genre, and this is easily the most impressive entry into the Resident Evil series to date. The game is a true testament to the hardware, and a survival horror freak's wish come true. If you think you can handle this two-disk terror, turn down the lights, crank up the volume, and prepare for a an overdose of fright. This one's a keeper.

Esto sí es un Resident Evil, no los bodrios que salieron a partir del 2009 en adelante

It was an eye opening experience to me at about 11 years old (I know, but I blagged my parents into thinking it was far less gory)
Playing through this about 4 times on my Dreamcast was basically a religious experience for me. Possible some of the best times I had as a kid.
