A better game than Dave Mirra.
-
Because Mat Hoffman is based on the first Tony Hawk game, there are a lot of tweaks and additions that I believe will give "THPS2" fans a sense that something is missing.
-
Nothing new if youve played the PSOne version, but a blast if you havent. Another problem -- its over way too soon.
-
The best BMX game on the market.
-
Electronic Gaming MonthlyI love Hoffmans superb soundtrack, and if you dig hip-hop, you will too. [Nov 2001, p.216]
-
Through no fault of the developers, some of the physics of riding a bike (as opposed to a skateboard) make this game less fun than playing the Tony Hawk series. Think about it, a skateboard can go both ways, a bike cannot.
-
Game InformerFor the majority of gamers, it's too little too late. [Dec 2001, p.113]
-
Its the same exact game as the PlayStation version with little more than cleaned-up graphics and faster load timesnot good or bad, just the same.
-
What set out to be "Tony Hawk's Pro Skater" with bikes has turned into a pretty dull aping of the Pro Skater experience with numerous graphic and gameplay issues.
