One of the best 2D fighters ever made...Its got everything you could want: nice graphics, spot on control, solid play mechanics, and its loads of fun to play. Its nice to have a fighting game that requires some real strategy.
-
Although most gamers can expect great 2D visuals from SNK, Mark Of The Wolves features some of the best 2D animation in a 2D fighting game.
-
Aside from a few minor issues, it's an extremely good port of one of SNK's last great NeoGeo games and is itself one of the last great games for the Dreamcast.
-
The appeal lies in stringing together simple moves into devastating combinations, not memorizing counterintuitive button sequences.
-
Electronic Gaming MonthlyCombined with razor-sharp controls, this is one of the fastest, most responsive fighting games Ive ever played. [Jan 2002, p.232]
-
The animation is fantastic especially considering this is a port coming off the decade old Neo Geo hardware.

[Anonymous]May 20, 2004Even for an old game on an ancient system, MotW plays really nicely and is a lot of fun. Could use some more features, but it's still good.
