Dinosaur tries so hard to be a good game for kids, but it just falls flat on its face due to the control issues. I can't imagine kids playing this game for long periods of time; it is so complicated for the wee people that it's more of a hassle than anything else.

But if I wanted to read about dinosaurs, I'll go to the library... if I want to see the gorgeous CG of the movie, I'll go to my neighborhood video store... and if I want to play a real video game, I'll avoid Dinosaur.

CNET GamecenterDespite the fact that Dinosaur boasts 12 full levels, each is pathetically short, not to mention extremely easy, usually only consisting of a couple of quick puzzles briefly interrupted by occasional fight sequences. Unfortunately, those are also short and terribly dull.
-
Daily RadarThe graphics, while not terrible, certainly border on the slightly embarassing.

Though it has a few extra features like higher-quality full-motion video and an improved "dinosaur encyclopedia," it's really just an average game that you'd do well to pass up.
