I was new to the series and this game made me want to delve into the series again after completion. True the camera may be a bit dodgy but in a stealth game about taking your time i feel it doesn't hamper the experience. The only true fault I had was that the areas in-game were so dark that during the day i kept the heat vision permanently on but when I played at night (which was most ofI was new to the series and this game made me want to delve into the series again after completion. Fairly enjoyable port if you're looking for a good portable Splinter Cell. It beats Essentials and Chaos Theory DS by a longshot.

The camera controls are very strange, but eventually, you will get used to them. The 3DS is a strange platform for shooters due to its lack of a secondary thumbstick, so I think the developers did what they could with the 3DS control scheme. Story-wise,

Story-wise, it's just Chaos Theory so you should enjoy the voice acting and plot just as you would on the console and PC versions.

Where this game is lacking is replayable content, there is no way of choosing a difficulty level nor does it have any modes such as Spies vs Mercs. Once you have played through it, you're done. No challenges, achievements, co-op, or anything to play.

the graphics are rather mediocre when played in 2D and 3D, but again it's the 3DS so you can't expect too much from it. The 3D effects were a nice touch, but they are more of a gimmick that didn't improve the game much.

I thought this was a very fun game, quite possibly one of my favorites on the 3DS and I recommend checking it out if you're looking for a good portable Splinter Cell to play on the plane or something. But do yourself a favor and play the actual Chaos Theory on console or PC BEFORE you play this port if at all possible.

In a nutshell Splinter Cell 3D is a remake the doesn't do justice to the original title.

If you really want to play Chaos Theory, go find a used copy of the superior original at a fraction of the price.

In the end, Splinter Cell 3D just feels like a lazy port.
