Official Nintendo Magazine UKDec 18, 2011A vast improvement and by far the closest recreation of the PC version on handheld. [Christmas 2011, p.79]

Nov 14, 2011I think the biggest compliment I can give this game is that I have a hard time putting it down. It does a great job of adapting the PC formula to the 3DS hardware, and it's just as addictive as it ever was. If you're a fan of the PC game, this is a great way to take it on the go.

Oct 18, 2011On the 3DS, The Sims 3: Pets has some improvements over the original. The biggest one: the 2D-map was replaced by a wish and craving list – a pretty cool improvment. An of course, you can now play cats and dogs and customize them in many ways. There are still some weak points like the controls or the three Sims cap, but all in all, it's a nice game on the 3DS.

Nintendo PowerNov 8, 2011If you've ever played a Sims game, you should feel right at home with The Sims 3 Pets--you create and manipulate a group of Sims, this time with cats and dogs included. [Nov 2011, p.85]

Nov 23, 2011While EA released its predecessor only half-baked, it's come through with The Sims 3 Pets and created a quality life simulator that's still mystifyingly amusing and addictive, now with the added cuteness of playing as dogs and cats, though it might not grab you like it did ten years ago.

Nintendo GamerDec 7, 2011Far too expensive for what it is. [Dec 2011, p.73]
