    Schöne Abwechslungsreiche schön gestaltete Level, sehr angenehme Steuerung und die Spezial Level die man freischaltet, wenn man das Spiel durchgespielt hat mit der Möglichkeit Luigi freizuschalten sind sehr cool. Ich gebe keine 10 von 10, weil ich persönlich fand das die Story echt kacke umgesetzt war.     This game is pretty great! It's the original 2D Mario games in a 3D form where you carefully platform to the flagpole! The level design is great and both Mario & Luigi are very fun to play as! The only issues I have with this game is that some of the star coins are pretty annoying to get, there are no level themes so all the levels are just random which means after you play a level youThis game is pretty great!     Even if I played it a little bit, and a standard Mario game as usual, on 3DS it is very very impressive for 2011 players who had a 3DS at the time. The levels are unique, the power ups are varied especially the invisibility leaf, and overall for a 3DS game in 2011, it is fantastic for its time.

    Muy buen juego, lo jugué 1 día en casa de mi amigo y me lo pasé de maravilla: con niveles muy buenos. Aplica muy bien las novedades de la consola. La única pega que le he encontrado es que es casi obligatorio (y digo casi porque se puede jugar bien igual) el uso del efecto 3d, porque sin el efecto se vuelve difícil calcular la profundidad del entorno y no sabes muy bien donde estás.     One of the best Mario games I have ever played. Its level design and level variety was amazing. From deserts to Lava areas there was so many different types of levels and enemies to get pass. There were also a lot of fun power ups to utilise. The Bowser was also a great final boss with him chasing you as a massive monster was very tense. Overall an amazing DS game.

    One of my favorite 3d mario games! Unlike the previous ones, 3d land and world sticks to the traditional 2d mario game level types, rather then have objectives, like sm64, sunshine, etc.
    I think I like both this and sm64 level types.

    This game is a fairly generic Mario game, not New Super Mario Brothers U generic but not Super Mario Sunshine unique. Your general Mario Enemies are all here such as Goombas and Piranha Plants and any original enemies are all most likely variations of these pre-established Mario staples. The camera can be a bit awkward sometimes but not very often from my experience. So yeah it's hardly reinventing the wheel.

    But the games positives far outweigh the negatives in my opinion, such as the fact the game feels amazing play as you only have 12 directions to turn and considering the linear level design this works perfectly as it is quick and simple. The game is clearly inspired by the Mario Galaxy series which we can see through the linear level design and the star coin collectable being taken directly from Super Mario Galaxy 2.

    The level design is amazing! The game offers loads of bite sized levels instead of only a few massive levels which works perfectly for the 3DS's pick up and play nature. There is a twist at the end where it reveals that you are only half way through the game and that there is a lot more that the game has to offer. The second half serves as a harder version of the first half with remixed levels and ideas reworked to increase the difficulty and this is still a walk in the park for Mario veterans but I can definitely see someone struggling with this if they were less experienced.

    The game is one of the only games on the 3DS to use the 3D feature well as it can be useful for bonus rooms and judging the distance of things in game. This game is a hidden gem and it doesn't get talked about nearly enough. I would highly recommend this game to someone who wants a nice relaxing game to play.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. There's no denying it, Super Mario 3D land is a hit. It's a lengthy game that is not to repetitive. There is a great ton of content. You have the usual 8 worlds, but then once you beat the final boss, you unlock 8 new special worlds. These special world do mostly contain levels that were in the normal 8 world's, (there are some new levels though), however they have been changed a little to be harder. The airship levels were really good and some of my favourites. It is repetitive, but in a good way that doesn't get boring quickly. Honestly, this is the some of the best level design the series has ever seen. The majority of the levels are short, but there are so many of them it doesn't matter. fan favourite power ups such as the tanuki suit returns with a handy and fun new power up called the boomerang flower. This boomerang suit is really useful and is good for taking out enemies at long range. You still need to collect star coins, so there is a little similarity to the new super Mario bros games here too.
    I'll admit that the story could have been better though. However, this game is like Sonic Generations, the level's are soo good that it doesn't matter that the stories meh. (which coincidentally, both these games came out in the same year). In the first special world, you have to save Luigi and once you have done that, you play as him in any level you want. The graphics are great in this game and this is one of the very few games on the 3Ds that the 3D mode is actually useful for and isn't totally pointless. Honestly though, the 3d gimmick on the 3ds is soo underutilized. Music's pretty decent as well.
    This game has a terrific final boss and secret special world 8 final boss. The majority of the bosses in this game are great, which is a nice touch as the majority of the bosses in the 2D games since new super Mario bros Wii have been bad. If you own a 3ds or a 2ds, this game is a must buy. This is a Gem of a game, and again, a must buy. And for once, a Nintendo game isn't over priced. They should be given a medal for that. Even Metacritic agrees which is saying something, as you can't usually rely on this site for a fair, true review on any game.    … Expand

    This game is quite good as it fits the 3ds perfectly.
    The level designs are simple and short which is perfect for portable game-play. The graphics are also great as it is among the best looking 3ds games.
    The only problems i have with this game is the skill, the game feels a slight bit to easy but that just be my opinion.
    Overall one of the best 3ds games.

    for me this is the best mario game in 3d. I am a player who is not trying to collect all the stars and get all the content from the game, but this game is addictive. Many interesting situations, beautiful locations, nice music.

    This game is a lot of fun. It's not fancy at all. On the surface, it is a standard 3D platformer, pretty much the original Mario game in 3D. But it's executed in such a charming and polished way that you'll get hooked. It's like a simple hamburger with fries, but the best possible version of that meal. It's a shame that the game is only about five hours long, I'd like to play it much longer.

    This Game is Fun, Pick up and play, goodness, offering tight controls, memorable levels and set pieces, and nice music. The Main game is easy, but the post game picks up the challenge for more experienced players. With 16 full worlds to explore, Any 3DS owner need this game in their collection. Its a Must Buy!

    Es muy divertido, un plataformeo simple y consigue llevar Super Mario Bros 3 a Un mundo en 3d, lo cual lo hace mucho mejor. El único problema es la falta de ítems y un multijugador local. Por eso no supera a 3DWorld.

The main game is short and digestible to complete, but if you want more, the post-game is essentially a whole new game's worth of levels! Plus, you can unlock Luigi after Special World 1! Level design near flawless, 3d feature amazing, and the challenge really comes later in the special worlds with shadow Mario. Man that was a pain sometimes, which made collecting all the star coins that much more rewarding. This is one of the best Mario games ever, and easily the best handheld Mario ever. WhatEasily a 10. The 3D is a cool effect, and you know exactly where your jumps are gonna land, and if you don't like the 3D, turn it off, your only disadvantage of playing in 2D is missing your jumps every now and then. Music is real catchy. My only problem is like I said, this game isn't too memorable. The levels seem the same in every way except level design. NothingGreat game, but not too memorable. The 3D is a cool effect, and you know exactly where your jumps are gonna land, and if you don't like the 3D, turn it off, your only disadvantage of playing in 2D is missing your jumps every now and then.     A beautiful, charming, exquisite game that begs it’s self to be played in 3d. The levels are unique and colourful. The amount of levels in the actual game is quite impressive and the items are fun and creative. I love this 3d mario game so much, it’s the only one that I 100% because it is very addictive and easy. Overall, just a joy to play!

    La narrativa es siempre la misma, no hace falta explicar cuál va a ser el objetivo del bigotudo de gorra roja. Por otro lado, los jefes finales de los mundos (en total tenemos 8 mundos normales y otros 8 especiales que se desbloquearán al terminar la historia principal) serán "Bum Bum" y "Pum Pum", una especie de mezcla entre un koopaling un koopa gigante, los cuales se irán turnando en los diferentes mundos. Los combates con estos jefes son mas emocionantes y algo mas difíciles que en New Super Mario Bros 2. Es sin duda una dosis de emoción necesaria que en esta entrega se hace notar. Además, el combate final con Bowser y en general en nivel final va a suponer un reto para muchos jugadores (incluido yo).
    En definitiva, se trata de la entrega perfecta para los amantes de Super Mario en para Nintendo 3ds, un juego impecable técnicamente, muy original y divertido de nuevo. Sin duda, el ansia de Nintendo por hacer un videojuego 3d se notó en esta entrega de 2011, al poco de lanzar la consola Nintendo 3ds.    … Expand

    This game is the definition of perfect, almost every level is fun and special, Most of them are really easy but there are some challenging ones. The bosses aren't really good and not hard enough except some of the bosses at the end of the game. This is the best 3d Mario game after sm64 and the best game avaliable on the 3ds.

Eu digo que de todos os jogos 3D do Mario, esse foi o que mais conseguiu adaptar com fidelidade as obras 2D da franquia.     Pros

    - The 3D effect is very well implemented. There is a great use of obstacles to take advantage of this 3D effect. For example, at one part, there is a thick spear that shoots out towards you. With the 3D effect it looks amazing.

    - The platforming is classic with new twists incorporated from previous Mario titles.

    - There are various types of power ups you can attain, which include takooni Mario, fireball Mario, and invincibility Mario.

    - There are pipes that lead to coins and other goodies taken from Super Mario bros.

    - The game positions the camera at different angles in certain levels to enhance the 3D experience. For example, in a level, the camera is positioned at the top so things appear to bounce up in front of you.

    - You get to play as Luigi after main quest completion, he can jump higher.

    - 8 full worlds with a higher difficulty (which the game really needed) after main quest completion.

    Cons:

    - At some points, it is difficult to tell exactly where you will land from a jump because of the 3D effect. This can be troublesome when facing enemies or platforms that move around

    - The game is very easy. The only challenge given, is the special levels you get after you beat the game. The special levels should have been the difficulty for the first part of the game.

    - The game offers unlimited invincibility if you happen to fail a level too many times. I disagree with this feature. The developers should let the player learn from their mistakes and overcome the obstacles on their own. Since the main quest is really easy already.

    - Having the game make you hunt for star coins near the end is more tedious than fun, since some of the star coins are hidden in ridiculous places. Not only that, but you must reach the end of the level again in order for the star coins to register after you have collected it.

    - Too much revisiting the same places. First you complete the 8 worlds, then you complete 8 "special" worlds, which is the same as the first 8 worlds with more obstacles and enemies. Then finally, you have to revisit and beat almost all of the worlds in order to obtain enough star coins to unlock the last level.    … Expand

    Super Mario 3D Land manages to successfully combine the 2D and 3D aspects of Mario games. It's a nice new take on the old formulas, and it'll surely give off something fresh to 2D and 3D Mario fans alike. Conceptually, that's pretty much it for this game, but that alone manages to make this game really fun.

    Most of the time, the level design is definitely fun, albeit not too memorable. Though I really like the Clock Tower stages, those were really creative. The Super Leaf is back, and it's a little underwhelming that you can't fly but can slowly descend. However, I think that this change complements the level design well overall, and would otherwise be a broken game if done differently. There's also the Boomerang Flower, which just allows you to shoot boomerangs like a Boomerang Bro. Nothing too special, but neat nonetheless. I also love that the collectibles returned in this game in the form of Star Medals. Those make the levels far more interesting, and gives it more replayability.

    Once you beat the game, you gain access to another 8 worlds with altered versions of existing levels and new ones altogether. You even get to play as Luigi now! I love the levels where you have a very strict time limit and you can collect timers to increase it. You can also run from the Cosmic Clones which mimic your every move and follow closely behind.

    A big downside for me would be that this is one of the easiest Super Mario games I've played. While I said the Super Leaf complements the level design nicely, it has its moments where it's extremely OP, and can be used to bypass every level almost effortlessly. I also really hate the Invincibility Leaf. This power-up just tells you "hmm it seems like you suck at this game, guess you need to be invincible for every level you can't do yourself" Seriously, you can take advantage of every level using this thing! I also wished this game had a bit more inspiration and that there was additional content outside the main adventure.

    However, Super Mario 3D Land does more than enough to stand out from its 3D predecessors. If you're looking for a fun little Mario game to pass the time with, I can recommend this one!    … Expand

    An absolute must have for the 3ds. This is 3d effect made perfection. I can't imagine playing this one on a 2ds cause it won't be the same at all. this have to be experienced with the 3d effect on. Great platformer, the best on the system. Not very challenging but really really fun!!

    One of the best 3Ds games. Good levels, the 3D mode is very Good used, a fair 100% and a fantastic final boss. The soundtrack is okay, but the bossbattles in World 2,3,4,6 and 7 are trash. They aren’t bad, but they are all the same with more less difficult new features. I rate this game with a 10, because it’s a perfect 3D Jump’ run for a handheld console.

    A fantastic Mario platforming experience, which perfectly suits the 3DS style, both in it's easy pick-up-and-play aspect, and it's use of the 3D-effect.

    I have actually finished this game two times, it was really that addicting. It is a bit easy and short, but collectibles makes the game last a lot longer.

I would criticize the fact that in later worlds star coins are extremely Vital, and Some of the levels are in desperate need of a checkpoint (curse you S8 Crown!) and, of course, I could never let the P-wing and Holy leaf slide.     This game is a pretty great opener to the 3ds but even when saying that it isn't that great when compared to some of Nintendo's other masterpieces such as mario odyssey. This game feels more like the original mario brothers just with more dimension which I'm pretty sure is exactly what the game was meant to do.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. if you own a 3DS and don't own this game, then I don't know what you're thinking. this game is a masterpiece, especially when you see what platform its on. This is one of like, five games that used the 3D to its full potential, like in level 1-1, you see a block. If you try to break it, you see you jump "through" it. Turn on the 3D, and you see what's up. The difficulty starts off pretty easy, and then moves up a notch or two, gets a little harder, then gets a lot easier, and at W-8, Its pretty hard, but not too hard. The main story is complete after you finish W-8, but that's just HALF the game! Afterwards, you have these "Extra" worlds that get really difficult. After beating EX W-1 (or W-9), you get Luigi, and that made me happy. Onto actual gameplay, Its crisp and smooth. Controls are great, they respond correct and stuff like that. All power ups are great and collecting all the gold medals // star coins is a nice little challenge. I also forgot to mention that this game is sort of a hybrid! It mixes the sort of linear stages from the slidescrollers and the 3D platforming, and for a handheld, its great! 3D world on the Wii U should not have done this, though, because Its a full-fledged console, but I'm getting side-tracked. One thing I didn't like, and that brings my score from 10 to 9, is the bosses. Its just Boom-Boom and Bowser (yaaay!) And that's really it.

    Super Mario 3D Land is a masterclass in game design. the hybrid style of gameplay was pulled off greatly, the 3D effect is a nice add-on, and it has that Nintendo polish that we find in all their games.    … Expand

    Mario is back! In a classic Mario-fashion you jump your way througheight worlds, where you battle goombas, koopas and the main meaniehimself, Bowser. This game is never particularly difficult, butgradually advanced to a challenge that feels just perfect. Fun, varied and guaranteed to make you smile.

    The Nintendo 3DS has had a slow start, but I feel this marks one of the first important games to come out on this system. I can't say it's a must buy, but is really close for those who have already picked up a 3DS. The amount of content in this game along with the varying degree of gameplay makes this one of the best Mario games I've played in a while.
