Aug 26, 2013It seems that Steel Diver was made not to make a good game but to show off what the 3DS could do in terms of how you control the game (big examples being the switches to move and the wolf gang like part in the game) but just because it was innovative doesn't mean it's good.

A great little game. Unfortunately, gamers are spoiled today and expect way too much. Steel Diver is a game that demands precision and only rewards mastery. This doesn't sit well with most people, I imagine. -
Jun 25, 2011There's so much potential in this game yet the difficulty of controls make this a bit forgettable. It's my least played game in my collection so far.

Jun 9, 2011Steel Diver seems very similar to an obscure NES title called Silent Service, which is a good thing, since Silent Service was such an epic game. The epic 3D visuals and graphics make this a fun strategy.

Jul 7, 2011Simple arcade game with relatively addicting gameplay which suffers from a severe lack of content. In this case it's quite a fundamental problem.

LEVEL (Czech Republic)Jun 23, 2011Some good ideas and stunning graphics with nice 3D effects rise this underwater arcade slightly above average. [June 2011]

Jun 20, 2011It seems safe to say that Steel Diver will not reach the level of popularity among Nintendo's most beloved franchises, but Miyamoto and company still deserve kudos for inventing another unique gameplay experience that is seldom seen elsewhere. While the learning curve can be steep, enough patience will lead to a satisfying package that's two games in one and easily bears replaying.
