Sep 23, 2014Squids Odyssey's only limit - granted, it's quite a relative one - seems to reside in its very nature: on the one hand, it's a clever game that efficiently combines different gameplay solutions and succeeds to provide a deeper and more rewarding experience, compared to other epitomes in the same genre; on the other one, it doesn't even try to appeal who is not an educated fan already.

Jul 24, 2014An addictive, quirky little RPG that's high on charm and low on price.
-
Jul 3, 2014Squids Odyssey may not satisfy those looking for a deep RPG experience, but it remains an appealing, charming choice for players wanting kinetic fun with a side of strategy.
-
Aug 4, 2014A highly original game that's hard to describe, but makes sense in action.
-
Jul 3, 2014Overall, the game is very enjoyable. The level-up and equipment aspects flow unusually well with the aim-and-shoot mechanics of so many mobile games. Aside from the manual leveling system, the game is a very likable piece of entertainment.
-
Jul 7, 2014There is some initial appeal in Squids Odyssey and its simplicity is mildly entertaining if played in bite sized sessions.
-
Jul 22, 2014Even as a compilation of the iOS content, Squids Odyssey ends with a 'to be continued' notification because the story is far from concluded, though developer The Game Bakers is unlikely to wait long for further updates. I feel like I got my fill of calamari with what I've already had though. Unless future installments receive a great deal of fine-tuning, my time with squid does not need extension.
