May 14, 2023Way better than the Wii U and PC version. Controls are nice, there’s a lot of great levels, and even a fair amount of difficulty towards the end. While some levels are questionable design-wise, and the final world is nothing but bosses, Sonic Lost World 3DS is a great experience for those willing to play it.
Just… don’t play the special stages. -

Nov 25, 2021The game looks ok,the graphics are like sonic colors on 3ds but that's not a big deal. The thing that is bad is that levels can be to long,to way too easy or hard or annoying. And it feels like it took a few months to make with a crappy story, has uninspired bosses that look like discounted koopaings and boss fights are too easy and the wisp are very useless.

Nov 14, 2021this game is amazing the story is well made and the level design is not that bad but not good either but this game got lots of attention to me because they made a crafting thing and you can craft lifes helicopters and yeah thats all also the soundtracks are in my opinion the best of thoose sonic games(doesnt count sonic colours and generations)

Jun 2, 2021This game brings in a brand new style of Sonic and it succeeded at making it fun. And the fact that it’s on a 3DS is remarkable, even if some of the level design sucks. And the special stages are also pretty bad. But even if those flaws make the game less enjoyable, I still recommend it to everyone who owns a 3DS.

May 12, 2018This is from the perspective of an individual who has never played Sonic 2006 and Wii U Sonic Lost World. Face it. This game is bad. The controls are clunky and levels are poor and uninspired. Sonic is too slow and a lot more is wrong with this (like the Deadly Six). That's right. This game is very bad. I made this review really late, too.

Jul 22, 2016Like its Wii U counterpart, this game keeps trying and trying. It's not terribly made, but it's also not the best they can come up with. We should see better than boredom.

Jul 6, 2015This game had a lot of potential but the idea of making it for Nintendo ruined it, it looks like a Mario game and is boring cause Sonic is not so fast making the action not interesting, as much as i like Sonic this one i don´t recommend

Jun 21, 2015The game looks good no doubt about it but once again sonic fails to appeal me what happened to sonic? Can't sega for once make a good sonic game? this game is trash its garbage the levels are so boring and it is not fun very bad game I do not recommend 1/10 :(

Mar 25, 2015The game is amazing and a lot of fun. It has a good storyline very Good zones and. Fantastic music it has good graphics but only one problem sonic doesn't run that fast but that's not much of an issue because in this game he runs faster than Sonic in sonic06. But still if Sonic ran just a bit faster this game would be awesome

Jan 28, 2015This game is very good. It is not ambitious like Sonic Team games, but it´s just "simple and fun". The story is not very good, but music, graphics and gameplay are very well done. A very good platform game :)

Jul 23, 2014This game is great, but it has its problems.I dont like how people say this game is slow it has a perfect mix of platforming and speed and if you are good enough you can go really fast. This game has problems it does but they can be easily fixed in the next lost world game.

Jan 19, 2014You will like it only if you like 3D platformer games. Even though I love original Sonic series, 3D versions of those give totally different experience and basically those are totally different games.
-
Jan 14, 2014HOW IS GENERATIONS RATED HIGHER THAN THIS? People dismiss this game as a ripoff of Galaxy just because of its 3D. Seriously? Plus, there's online play for up to 4 players. Also, the Deadly 6 aren't ALL that bad. While there's Zazz (GONNA BEAT YA LIKE A DRUM!) and Mister Pudgy, everyone else is OK.
-
Jan 8, 2014While the Wii U version is fun, the 3DS version is ok. While the visuals look good and the music is great, the level design is too bloated and too long. It just feels way too long (some levels are 6-7 minutes long) and some of the levels are downright frustrating. The game is good for a Sonic handheld, but it could have been done much better.

Nov 4, 2013This game brings Sonic back, Is one of the sharpest looking games on the 3DS, and yes, it's awesome.
The blue guy has been through a lot of hate in the past years, but I really think this time he finally made it.
I totally recommend this game, and would ignore critics from people who haven't even tried it yet. -

Nov 3, 2013Sonic's biggest problem today was his biggest asset and that is his speed. In a 3D world this is where Mario dominates. Mario had more control in 3D over Sonic. Sega has really have to be able to transition Sonic to a 3D world or leave him into a 2D side scroller.
-
Oct 31, 2013A very solid game! Unlike Sonic Generations on 3DS, Lost World is not a pared down version of its console counterpart. It is a full fledged iteration of the game with its own quirks and personality. Local multiplayer is a welcome addition. With his new moves you can hurl yourself along with a high degree of confidence knowing that Sonic will grab on to ledges or run up walls.

Oct 31, 2013I like this game. The sonic haters only excuse is "OMG SANIC IZ TOO SLOWWW" people call this a galaxy rip off, but sega came up with the galaxy like gameplay first. Face it hater retards. This game rocks
-
Oct 30, 2013The graphics are some of the best on the system. The controls are incredible especially with the ability to change Sonic's speed at the touch of a button. Level design is great and the stages take longer than previous sonic game levels and zones. Highly recommend this!

Dec 13, 2013While Sonic Lost World isn’t a terrible game, I feel as though Sega missed the mark quite a bit here. The controls are very touchy and at times downright horrible, the auto-target feature can get you into trouble with the homing attack, and the novelty of the Special Stages wears off quickly.

Games Master UKNov 27, 2013Great potential squandered by unimaginative level design and cheap mechanical failings. [Christmas 2013, p.82]

Nov 25, 2013While some infrequent instances of poor game design prevent the game from being an absolute success, it's still a very worthy entry in the Sonic franchise that can keep up with and, in some areas, even surpass its home console counterpart.
