Jan 19, 2023This game doesn't deserve the hate it gets. It a trillion times better than abomination that is sonic boom rise of lyric. It's fun and has other playable characters. The only problem really is that their is a ridiculous amount of backtracking that may put some people off from playing this game.

Sep 8, 2022it's fun for a little bit but way too short to worth a purchase. graphics could be better too
-
Dec 14, 2020Nostalgia aside, I think the game is good, but not the best of Sonic games. But one thing for sure, It's way better than the Wii U port. (a.k.a "Rise of Lyrics")
71/100 -
Oct 4, 2020The game takes alot to finish, and you always need to collect more crystals to get to another level, the bosses are ok, but the game itself not that good.

Jun 7, 2019A Big Mess
Nowhere near as awful as Rise Of Lyric, But Shattered Crystal is still bad. -
Sep 1, 2018What can i say it is just like sonic boom on the wii u but 2% better and that is a bad thing! Wait it is the same but with no bug or gitchs! This game is boring as heck
-
Dec 20, 2017Shattered Crystal: this game is so bleak it makes me wonder why people give it 10 or 8. It's better than Sonic 2006 and Rise of lyric but it doesn't feel like a "Sonic game". Dimps where are you making the good Sonic handhelds?

Mar 24, 2017Ow men... This game is bad... I don't know what exactly say, i just hate it. This is bad... I stay sad whit what Sonic turns. I really wait a good portable game of Sonic like Sonic Generations. Sad for Sonic.
-
Jan 3, 2017While it's better than Rise of Lyric in any sort of way, the problem with Shattered Crystal is that it never wants to be a superior Sonic Boom game that would be worth the adventure of a lifetime between this spin-off and the series in general.

Sep 30, 2016A great game. The controls work well, the music is catchy, and the game has a decent sense of humor. My only complaints are the story (which is kinda meh), the annoying level-locking system, and the whole game can be beaten in about 4-5 hours.

Sep 29, 2016this game is one of the best sonic games ever created shame shadow is playable that would make it perfect i also enjoyed looking for the collectables and my only problem with it is STICKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I HATE HER!!!!!!!!!!!!! shes like that girl at school constantly screaming and shouting replace sticks with shadow that would make it a better game and then it would get at 10

Jul 27, 2016It is actually a fine game but still is flawed. The game is typical and your generic sonic game but the game is still good but try more sonic team please or sega.
-
May 14, 2016I hate when people say this is a bad game just because of backtracking it is not even a lot! But I admit if you HATE backtracking you will not like it. Either way it was far from Perfect. Still recommend it though!
-
May 1, 2016The game doesn't have any glitches or bugs that ruin the experience like Rise of Lyric. However the gameplay of Shattered Crystal can be described in one word: Boooooooooooriiiiiiiiiiiiing
-
Apr 10, 2016I really enjoyed Sonic Boom shattered crystal, way better then the broken wii u version my, only issue is that the game is kind of short and I wish the game was longer.

Nov 7, 2015This game doesn't deserve the bad reviews it gets. Unlike Rise Of Lyric, it's fun, the music's good, and the graphics are nice. I hope Fire & Ice is gonna be even better.
-
Jul 6, 2015They totally changed the character, please don“t buy or it will just encourage the company to stick with this formula that is clearly not working, hope for a new good Sonic game
-
Jun 26, 2015This game feels, looks and sounds amazing. Unfortunately if you are not a fan of backtracking like I am the you will probably hate this game. I'm on the third world and Just cant play the rest because I have to go back and collect crap from the past levels. Other than that gameplay is fun and reminds me of the classics.

Apr 24, 2015It is better then Rise of Lyric and other games like that, but is still bad from what I've played. I also got bored of it within a couple days. Just like Rise of Lyric and Mario Party 10. Also, to me, it made no sense what I was supposed to do after World 1. Yes, World 1. I hope Sega is better with the games this time, even though they were made by different companies.

Apr 5, 2015Fast and frantic, this is a solid action adventure that reminds me sort of Metroidvania. Overall, a much better game than it's iff-fated Wii U counterpart.
-
Feb 19, 2015The Wii U version of Sonic boom was actually fairly decent GGoldMile, but this one just makes it look a bit inferior. Good game, I love the adding of sticks to it, kinda makes me feel like I'm playing Sonic Rush Adventure but with a distant-relative of Marine being a playable character. Nostalgia.
-
Feb 7, 2015Short version: Sonic does not go fast. It sucks.
Long version: Above, plus the tedious puzzles and slow dialogue, along with the occasional level-breaking bug, makes this game bad. -
Jan 5, 2015Although the Wii U was a cock-bucket of dick mr. Interestingshow, the 3DS version of the game was pretty good and definitely worth purchasing if you are a fan of Sonic or Metroid - 'cause it's feels like a classic Metroid game. It makes the Wii U version look like a cock-bucket of dick mr. Interestingshow. Story's a bit on the childish side though, but eh, it's pretty amusing.
10.

Games Master UKJan 31, 2015Managing to screw up 2D Sonic is impressively poor. [Feb 2015, p.73]

Jan 15, 2015Sonic Boom: Crystal Shards could have been, if not a good Sonic game, at least a decent 2D platformer, with its pros and its cons. But SEGA and Sanzaru Games have inexplicably decided to kill their own creature by adopting a really cheap trick: in order to progress, it is necessary to play the same levels over and over again.
