    Even if you don’t have any other versions on other platforms, SWAP Force on 3DS is a decent 3rd person 3D platformer. Just don’t expect a 3DS interpretation of the console SWAP Force game – it stands on it’s own pedestal, and it can fit your toy collection inside a pocket.

    All in all I would say that the 3DS version of Skylanders SWAP Force is a solid companion game for the home console version. That being said, it does feel dumbed down somewhat (e.g. not as much to explore, not as many secrets, etc.), and there is a lack of co-op play, all of which results in it feeling like a secondary experience.

    Skylanders Swap Force is another entertaining 3DS game, and one of the few that compliments its console counterpart. Considering it's compatible with previously released Skylanders, there's a tremendous amount of value packed into the box. The missions feel familiar, but that probably won't matter much to hardcore fans desperate for their newest fix.

    Unfortunately, the 3DS version of Swap Force doesn't have the same appeal of the home console version due to the different use of the Skylanders, but it's nevertheless a decent game. It would have been even a good game if there had been some sort of multiplayer and a longer campaign.

    The thing is, while this version of Skylanders SWAP Force certainly gets the platforming job done for a little while, it just doesn’t live up to the golden standard the console versions have set. That doesn’t mean it’s a bad game– it’s pretty decent, and serves as a great vehicle for its eponymous Skylanders. But with simple platforming and no multiplayer, it could be much better.

    A sloppy camera, meanwhile, adds frustration to the proceedings. Players rarely have a good handle on distances involved in jumps to swinging platforms or teleports through 3D mazes or any of the other dangerous maneuvers frequently required. Expect plenty of aggravating deaths.

    I love this game, its unique and completely different to the console but also very similar at the same time. The characters are fun and fullI love this game, its unique and completely different to the console but also very similar at the same time. The characters are fun and full of character. Its great that you don't have to bring your whole collection everywhere you go. Each chapter is split into 3 shorter levels, which does make the game short but oh so sweet.
    Overall, brilliant game one of the best games in the series

    Also turn on full volume when on the final boss, trust me    … Expand

The levels are great and its rare for a 3DS game to have a bunch of extra content and able to replay with being bored, and this is one of the rare ones.
